The 'Villa Lucia' in Chiclana has a magnificent garden property (2000 m²), ideal for children, with 3 nice terraces, grill area and seating possibilities for 6 people. The large pool is fenced and the interior consists of a living/ dining room with satellite TV, fireplace, well-equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms and a large bathroom. By car you have to go about 5 minutes to the fantastic beach of Chiclana called La Barrosa. The distance is 3 kilometres from the 'Villa Lucia'. The golf course with 36 holes of Novo Sancti Petri designed by Severiano Ballesteros is quite and near as well as several stores, restaurants and Tapas-Bars. The property owner speaks English very well and lives near the property 'Villa Lucia' so he can help immediately if there should appear any problems.

The ' Villa Lucia' is about 5 minutes by car away from the beach La Barrosa. La Barrosa is the beach town of Chiclana. The long beach with finest sand guarantees pure bathing pleasure. Along the beach promenade there are nice restaurants, snug little bars, inviting stores and a fantastic look out at the Atlantic sea. Enjoy an undisturbed relaxation on this wonderful beach. At the eastside of the Plaza Mayor you can find the neoclassical church San Juan Batista from the 18th century and in the North you can find the Torre de Reloj where a passage leads to the river. Don’t forget that in this part of Spain the sun shines about 3000 hours a year. The average temperature is about 20 C even during the wintertime.

The front 9 holes have pine trees lined fairways, while the back nine have spectacular views out to the Atlantic Ocean. The centre golf course has a plethora of vegetation with many water hazards and bunkers to stretch even the best golfers.

We recently stayed in this property.
We found both good and bad things. Property is close to beach (5 mins car), but it is fully surrounded by fences and walls so there are no views.

We would not choose to stay again, it did not meet our expectations. The negatives we found are why the price is lower than many others, but we still found the price very high for what you get. In general we thought the outside was good and the inside of the house absolutely not.

The owner is friendly and polite.

Plus/Minus points
+ pool very safe for children (as it is fully fenced away from the garden as well)
+ property fully fenced and therefore safe for children
+ photos give a good perspective of garden (which is nice and green)
+ close to beach (5 mins car)

- beds not made when we arrived (we made them),
- we needed to clean the outside sitting areas including all tables, chairs etc.
- many things didn't work quite right (broken/stuck door on cloths wash machine, dish washer didn't switch on (seems to be stuck on wait 12 hrs etc)
- very poorly equipped!!!! (i.e We just couldn't work out what use a broken cork screw is)
- Description of how to find the house was a little poor and all the streets around are not in TomTom so finding the property was difficult (but not impossible ) to find. You just need to pay a lot of attention to the directions the owner gives!
- no warm water in bathroom sink ( but all the water is heated by a little gas boiler)
