L%?9Escala is a little village, located in a wonderful scenery at the Costa Brava, at the South of Rosas and in the middle of two very important nature reserves: The Medes Islands and the Aiguamolls de l%?9Emporda. Originally it is a coastal Fishing Village, open to the sea, very beautiful and quiet even in high season, an ideal resort for family holidays. There are beautiful beaches with splendid views over the bay of Rosas, and it offers you all possibilities to enjoy the Mediterranean, the sunshine and the lovely nature. Also you will find a great diversity of aquatic sports, a fishing port and the yacht harbour. The well known cultural attractions are : %?C the Ruins of Empuries%?D. During the Greek and Roman periods it was the entrance gate to Spain. Everyone who visits l%?9Escala will be pleasantly surprised when they see the splendid views, the unforgettable nature and the Canigo Mountains.
