In beautiful cultural landscape with farms around, you can stay in peace and quiet and at the same time be in short distance to great experiences, all varying dependant on the seasons. Are you in for golf, bicycle riding, hunting, fishing trips, bird watching, hill walking, mountain climbing, extreme sport, all types of skiing, culture such as Vossajazz, Vossamenu and Vossaart.... At Voss you will find most of the best! You are welcome to stay if you are 1 or 11 persons. You will find Vossatunet for accommodation at Voss along the Rallarveg, 8 km from Voss Centrum towards Mjølfjell.

Notes: At TVossatunet you will find the following buildings: Main building, where you stay: 1st floor: Living room: Nice old log living room from late 19th century including sofa, dining table, filled book shelf, TV and a wood-burning stove. Kitchen: Well equipped kitchen with refrigerator and freezer, stove, micro oven, kitchen machine, dish washer and coffee maker. Bed room: Bed room with family bed for three persons. Bath room: shower, toilet and heater cable. 2nd floor: Bed rooms: One with double bed and child crib and one with 2 double beds and 2 single beds. Ground floor: Big basement for storage of ski, bicycles and other equipment. You can also find a Freezer for rent here. Guest cottage for use. (Norwegian storehouse on pillars, barn and smoke hut not yet available).

The Rallarveg: The Navvy Road - Rallarvegen – Greatest Mountain Bike Trek in Norway: Riding the Rallarveg is one of the most fascinating cycling experiences in Norway and even in Europe. The Rallarveg was built in the late 19th century as a part of building Bergensbanen, the railway from east to west in Norway. The Rallarveg starts at Haugastøl in Buskerud County. From Haugastøl the Rallarveg goes to Finse, a distance of 27 km, from 988 to 1222 meters above sea level. From Finse the road continues to Hallingskeid a distance of 19 km, from 1222 to 1350 meters above sea level at Fagernut and down to 1110 meters above sea level at Hallingskeid. From Hallingskeid the Rallarveg continues to Vatnahalsen and Myrdal, a distance of 17 km, from 1110 to 867 meters above sea level at myrdal Station. From Myrdal Station you can take the train to Uppsete Station and continue to Voss, another 45 km. At Voss you end up at 57 meter above sea level.

Sports: At Voss during Extremsport week in June every year you can join in or watch the following sport activities: Base, Skydiving, Paragliding, Hang gliding, Rafting, Kayaking, MTB-BMX, Long boarding, Climbing, Free ride – Big air, Kiting.

Ski: 10 km to Voss Ski lifts, 35 km to Myrkdalen Ski lifts. 3 km to light loops, cross country skiing.

Golf: 3 km to Voss Golf.

Quiet Getaway in the Norwegian Countryside

We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas holiday spent at Vossatunet. This is a cozy little house with a fireplace, ample kitchen and comfortable sleeping arrangements. The setting is beautiful and very quiet, a perfect getaway from the city. Easy access to the amazing Flam railway and Norway in a Nutshell tour. The owner was wonderfully kind, even giving us a ride to the train station early in the morning on our way out.

One thing to note is that this house is 8km outside of Voss and public transportation can be tricky. If we had realized this we would have rented a car and had easier access to the surrounding activities.

All in all we had a great stay, and hope to return another year.
