The luxury villa located in one of the Sesimbra Castle hills, facing the ocean with a wonderful view to the village bay and beaches.The area is a part of Costa Azul, which integrates the entire coast line from Lisbon to Setúbal and far south.The proximity to a lot of beautiful beaches and of course a large choice of special seafood restaurants, as well as access to a lot of activities related with the sea. Its previlege location,35 min from Lisbon, 2hrs from Algarve.It`s also very romantic place with a lot of panoramic spots,terraces and gardens. Proper for self-catering the villa has a fully equipped kitchen, and another kichenette in the upper part of the house, where are a 2nd living room with a panoramic view, located close to the terrace which offers outdoor dining furniture and a BBQ - perfect for al fresco dining on the warm Sesimbra evenings.The terrace leads into a garden which feature a private swimming pool & a grass area for relaxation or used simply as children play area.

On the 'Costa Azul', the Atlantic Ocean meets the coast. From time to time, huge sand dunes touch the sea. Secluded beaches cut out of the green hills. These obvious contrasts make this an ideal place for holidays. The Sesimbra village is located in the middle of the so called 'Costa Azul', set on a curving turquoise bay 40 km south of Lisbon; Sesimbra is both an attractive fishing town and popular tourist resort. Protected from north winds by the slopes of the Serra da Arrábida, it was occupied by the Romans and later the Moors. 12 km west of Sesimbra, there is a flat promontory of Cabo Espichel, a wild enchanted place with magnificent views northwards to Lisbon and the mouth of the River Tagus. Sesimbra is also located in core of the Setúbal peninsula, so that means the neighbourhood of 2 natural reserves such as beautiful Arrábida reserve or the Sado river estuary reserve (known for its colony of dolphins). For the golf fans, the proximity of 3 golf courses(Perú,Aroeira and Montado)

Additional information about rental rates

  • 1-occupancy-The rate aplies to a maximum of 8 persons (since 2 of them are children under 7 years). Anyway using a 4th room the maximum occupancy are 10 guests (being 8 adults and 2 kids sleeping on the same room with parents).For each person more in excess of 6 ( adults or any person above 7) a 15% (based on weekly rate) will be added. 2-swimming pool heating- the temperature of swimming pool water is always in a range of 26º to 30º from June to September, and decreases around 13º in winter (December and January). The temperature could be increased with the use of heating pool device. Guests could ask for pool heating to be on, a fee of 180 Euros is added for each weekly use. The house keeping once per week is included in the shown fares. Any additional cleaning could be added against an additional 40 Euros fee. 3-major bedroom Jacuzzi- Should be previously advised if guests intend to use it during their stay. An additional fee of 100 euros/week is required against use.
  • 1-booking: in case of being interested the payments are made by bank transfer and the reservation is granted after a 40% of payment of the total amount corresponding to the concerned period. Afterwards the time will be blocked. Until 30 days to 60 days (depending the season) before arrival an amount of 60% is expected to be paid. 2-security deposit: An 800€ amount as safe deposit must be send by bank transfer or delivered at arrival the amount of 800 € in cash (against receipt) required to cover against damage or cleaning above what would be the normal house use. This quantity will be normally refunded by bank transfer after the end of your stay if the property is properly given over and is sent within 1 or 2 days and within a maximum 2 weeks (if some damages has been reported and calculation of repair costs has been needed).
  • 1-Cancellation - in the event of the client booking cancellation, the payments made until that time are non refundable. 2-Booking changes - changes to booking arrangements should be advised in writing way, whilst every effort will be made to accommodate your request, anyway and unfortunately we can give no guarantees. 3- Insurance- it is recommended that clients take out independent travel insurance. The property is insured against fire and other usual insurable perils but this does not include the guest’s personal belongings. Damages or on property as well damage and undue use outside house perimeter of furniture and all other house belongings caused intentionally or by negligent use by guests are not covered by any insurance ,so is not allowed and than is entirely a guests responsibility to support it.

Notes: 1-Accomodations-All accommodations are recently renewed and furnishings are highly comfortable and of a high standard level, creating an atmosphere of discrete but sophisticated ambiance. 2-House maintenance-Once per week the villa is visited by a gardener, a swimming pool cleaning services, and a house keeping. The guests will be invited to give access of the above referred professional services, in order to permit the execution of their duties. 3. Dimensions-The house is implanted in total area of 1000 m² of land, and has in fact a total of 600m² of covered area witch are spread by 4/5 floors. The 4 bedrooms that are mentioned in the site have an area of 14, 17,30 and 40 m². 4. Garage- the house has a easy access by car, and at least one garage( closed box place) is available.

House maintenance: The villa will be totaly cleaned at any change-over and partially cleaned once per week during the 15 days stay. Bed and toilets clothes will be changed also on weekly based. This actions are included in shown fares . Any additional or an extended cleaning ( if required) could be provided against an additional 35 euros fee.

Sign in: 1- For weekly rental the entrance day should be during any midweek day so excluding the weekend days. 2- At the arrival, the owners will deliver you the house keys and will help you to deal with the house, guiding you by all you need to know. Should the estimated arrival at Sesimbra be delayed for +1 hour, the guests must phone to owners updating the arrival. 3- The sign in the high/peak season should be after 4 pm cause the house is usually occupied so a proper cleaning and maintenance services should be observed. 4- Check-out - For the same reasons the check out when in high or peak season should be until 10 am. 5- The above mentioned does not preclude the owners to be flexible if the day before or after the guest stay is not occupied. 6- Anyway there is a possibility to just to leave the guest luggage in the villa while waiting (go for a walk, visit the place or go for lunch), after all cleaning and arrangements are finished guests may return and than really check in.

other considerations: 1. Internet: the house has a free Internet access. 2. Access: the house has an easy access by car. The house stays in a hill and is served by a regular road. 3. Beach: the beach is 400 m away, anyway to come back from the beach the car is the most comfortable way to reach the house, once it is located in the middle of a hill in a half way to Sesimbra castle. 4. The house is strictly for non smokers. If you are a smoker guest please don`t choose us. A penalty ( for all fabrics cleaning in the house) will be charged and deducted from Safety deposit if smoking or tobacco smoke smell is detected inside the house perimeter.

Golf: Golf-There are tree Golf courses that could be easily accessed in the area, which are: 1- Quinta do Perú ; Herdade da Aroeira and Herdade do Montado.

We stayed at “Uma Casa com vista para o mar” for 2 weeks in August and were absolutely delighted. We were a party of 5 adults with 2 teenage boys and this spacious villa had plenty of room to accommodate us all easily.

Antonio and Helena, who had been a great help with the booking process, greeted us on our arrival and showed us around the villa. They made sure that we were comfortable and answered any questions we had. They obviously have great pride in their house.

This four-storey villa with a large corkscrew staircase is spacious, well equipped, and has great natural light levels. The bedrooms and communal rooms are tastefully furnished, decorated and comfortably appointed with a lot of storage space. The bathrooms too are luxurious.

The view from anywhere at the front of the house, but especially from the upper dining room, is truly astonishing. While eating in here every evening we watched the coming and going of the many boats in the bay of Sesimbra, and as one of our party is a keen amateur astronomer it was ideal for star, and moon, gazing.


The secluded pool area is situated in the top garden. A gazebo provides plenty of shade on hot days and we found it lovely to sit and eat lunch here.


From our experience, Sesimbra is ideally situated for days out. Lisbon is only half an hour’s drive and the great Palaces of Sintra about 45 minutes. There are many stunningly beautiful well-managed sandy beaches within a short driving distance. Whilst Sesimbra with its narrow streets is quaint, with a strong fishing heritage, we found the beach here too busy and commercialised for our tastes particularly during the weekend periods.

We had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend this lovely villa as a holiday home. Also a big thank you to Antonio and Helena for making it such a pleasurable and relaxing place to stay.
Owner's Response: At 4 years ago we were looking for a small farm in country side of the Arrábida Natural Park which is in the neighborhood of Sesimbra. But some day a misunderstand of a real estate agency took us to Sesimbra and to this house which immediately had captivate our emotions and makes to induce a 180 degrees turn in our projects and dreams.
Persisting what has became our new goal and since then, all our efforts were directed in a overall improvement of original house since the roof until the entire water pipe tubes including of course the interiors and all external areas such as the swimming pool and both garden areas. We though to recreate a beach house interiors, light but with a design approach in comfortable ambiences and we decide to offer this house to our guests as it was for ourselves. What we mean is that in spite we had decided to rent the house, nothing in terms of decoration, equipment and furniture has suffered a minimum change and stays just like we use it for ourselves. We simply like to offer a house that we would like to found if we were visitors looking for a holiday house.
And that is why we fill of course, highly rewarded specially when we hear or simply see and felt our guests pleasure for the house accommodations the decoration the interior architecture or the beautiful sea view.
We also fill that we have been rewarded by outstanding behavior of our guests which has been extremely careful and responsible in the house.

Our holiday was like a dream+becomes unforgettable

We were deeply touched by the friendly welcome at our arrival and the kind help we received from Helena and Antonio whilst we were guests on their very pretty and well looked after premises. We felt very much at home from the very beginning of our stay. Arranging our autumn holiday we found the immediate response to all our questions most helpful so we were able to start our journey fully relaxed looking forward to a restful week. When we arrived we stood in front of an impressive house with a wonderful garden. The lady of the house, Helena, opened the door with a very friendly smile on her face. And right this moment was the starting point of our holiday. Now both, Helena and Antonio led us through their house, from one storey to the next. And the higher we got the prittier it became. The lounge, kitchen and bath at the ground level, bedrooms and baths at the first floor and the one "in between". All of them very very pretty but still topped by the top-room with the panorama window and an unbelievable view of Sesimbra, the hills and the ocean. A dream view from sun rise until sun set. From there to the sun terrace with a grill and the pool and garden inviting to swim and relax.
Sesimbra city is a beautiful city. The harbour, the shops, the restaurants. We have never seen so many different fishes to eat.
We will surely recommand this house to our friends and to everybody who is reading this. There is no better way to stay in sesimbra.
It had been a wonderful holiday and we are sure to come again to spend some more time in a wonderful house in a wonderful surrounding in a wonderful city.

Das Haus, die Eigentümer, die Stadt und das Meer waren überwältigend.
Es stimmte einfach alles. Die Betreuung vor der Reise, die Eigentümer, das Haus, das Anwesen, der Pool,die Stadt, das Meer, der Strand, die Geschäfte, die Restaurants, der Hafen, die Umgebung und die Menschen. Es war wunderschön und auch das Wetter spielte mit obwohl es schon mitte Oktober war.
Wir werden und haben auch schon, unseren Freunden von dieser tollen Unterkunft erzählt. Sie ist zu 100% weiter zu empfehlen, und zwar nicht nur für Familien mit Kindern sondern auch für Verliebte oder Ruhe suchende .

The home was ideally for two families with two children each. Very stylish equipment - in particular bathrooms. Wonderful view onto the sea, quiet and sufficiently cool during the night due to Atlantic sea climate . Even in high season not crowded, very few non-portuguese tourists. 40 Minutes cardrive to Lissabon, choice of at least three different type of beaches nearby (calm Sesimbra beach, wild Atlantic beach, bay with wonderful nature in the background).

We had a splendid holiday with our sons and daughters in the second half of May. Sesimbra, the wheather, the company and last but not least the very beautiful villa helped to make this an unforgettable holliday. The house was fully equipped and everything was well maintained. When we had a minor electricity problem the owner immediately came from Lisbon to solve this problem. The garden below, the beautiful garden room with extra dish washer! and the 100% private swimming pool and second garden were a guarantee for a special stay in Portugal. We certainly will recommend this property to our friends.Sesimbra speaks for itself with the romantic fisher port and nice restaurants and cafes. The lovely Arrabida area is an eye opener. We will certainly come back

They was extremely careful with the property and also very helpful with some very interesting suggestions which we`ll certainly adopt. We can`t agree more, the Arrábida area ( Natural Arrábida Park) it`s really beautiful governmental protected area, and of couse its neighbor areas. One of those areas is Azeitão (know by its very good wines,by its vineyards landscape and also by its wine cellars) and also the Sado river estuary, which comprehend Setúbal and Troia peninsula, known by its dolphins inhabitants which could be watched by a local (Setubal) boat sightseeing tour.

Portugal revealed

The property is large- will cater for a large family or group of friends. We as a couple lived in only one section of it.
The view as promised is magnificent. Sesimbra is as described.
Renting directly from the owners (rather than agents) gives a personal touch often missing in renting villas. They are still gaining experience but were very proficient.
The heating of the pool made an enormous difference early season- I need to swim for health reasons and was in the pool every morning and evening of our stay. The only request for improvement made was for a kettle- vital for making tea. Internet access is a nice touch.
Shade in the afternoon was a problem as winds meant umbrella was un-usable.
My only quibble was that a lot of the admittably modernistic and stylish furniture was not good for my back condition.
Otherwise I enjoyed my stay, enjoyed portugal and would recommend this property.
Last thought hire a small car- I got a Viano in and out but it was tight and parking in most places in Portugal is a challenge.
Owner's Response: We had encourage our guests to make all possible suggestions they could think, cause that is certainly a priceless way to know what could be the common or specific cultural needs, and so to improve what we have to offer. Most of the suggestions are, of course, reasonable and have enough good sense to be accepted. During the stay is certainly the best moment to request something the guests could need. The House gardens have 2 refreshing pine trees which offer a splendid shadow and as well 2 large gazebos and also 1 large parasol. Now we have add 2 more sun umbrellas sets in the upper garden and in the upper terrace. Meanwhile a Kettle for tea has already been provided. We are pleased once again for having a new pleased guest which recommeds our Villa.
