Sarasota Vacation

This unit is located inside an older subdivision, and looks like the newest construction on the block. It seems like upstairs portion of this townhome is larger than downstairs. There is no carpet in the unit which makes it really hypoallergenic and a perfect rental if travelling with pets. They do have a laundry closet on the 2nd floor next to the bedrooms, but be sure to buy/bring your own laundry detergent and dryer sheets since those are not provided. Overall we liked the unit very much. However the 1st day we did have to spend some time cleaning it. When we first checked in the sheets on the beds did not look like they were washed with soap, and did have pet hair on them, probably from previous renters. So before we went to sleep we did re-wash all sheets and pillowcases with detergent ( that we purchased from a nearby grocery store). I noticed that bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned either, and did require a second coat and wipe of Clorox as well. Other than that our stay went pretty well. We found the location to be very convenient to the local beaches and easy access to the highways. Oh, another downside is that "free wireless high speed internet included" perk - did not work for the whole 10 days we were there. We reported the problem with internet connection the very 1st day we arrived, and kept hearing: " we are working on it" from the rental company/owners. Since we did bring our laptops and needed to use those for work, we ended up driving to Panera Bread cafe across the street each time we needed to hook up to the internet.
The back yard is very private and has a pool, which was very nice. The yard itself is covered in much though, so if travelling with little kids make sure they wear shoes outside. Overall I would recommend this unit to a friend but warn about cleanliness and the internet problem that we experienced.
