Shopping:
The village of Cavillargues has a butchers, a bakers and a small café and can be reached on foot with a pleasant walk through the vines of just over 1km. Also an ideal region for biking which can be hired locally.
Shopping can be done at Uzes which has many lovely shops plus supermarkets and is of course renowned for its bustling market on a Saturday, full of local colours and perfumes ! Daily markets can be found in all the small local villages providing an abundance of fresh local produce, fruit , vegetables and goats cheese. Cavillargues is in the heart of the Cotes du Rhone wine trail and many renowned cellars are close by just waiting to be visited....

An ideal base for visiting all of Provence, at just a short drive from Uzes and the world famous Pont du Gard, Avignon with its walled city and Papal palace and Nimes with its Roman Arena and other historical sites.
For arts lovers Orange is just over the Rhone river, fabulous concerts and operas in an unbelievable setting under the stars, the roman amphitheatre. Aix en Provence also renowned for its summer festival and of course the exciting arts festival of Avignon, the most important in France.
For sports lovers, bikes can be hired, there are local tennis courts and many horse riding centres in the region with rides through the unspoilt countryside. Canoeing is a great pastime either under the Pont du Gard, a memorable event, or on the Ceze and Ardeche rivers through the wild valleys of the Gorges del' Ardeche.
