This beautiful west facing contemporary style villa is situated in a peaceful area close to the traditional Spanish town and port of Estepona. The villa is on 2 levels and has 3 large double bedrooms, all with brand new en-suite bathrooms. The villa has stunning views to both the sea and mountains and is surrounded by mature cork oak trees. The main living area is open plan, with a pitched ceiling and large picture windows on all sides. There are 4 terraces. One for outdoor dining, one for drinks and relaxing. The other 2 are off the bedrooms affording extra privacy. One of the main features of the house is a large infinity swimming pool in the treetops which cascades over to the valley below. Holidaying at this villa will offer you a feeling of complete tranquility. For the active, very nearby is is tennis club and horse-riding equestrian centre and a choice of over a dozen golf courses within a 15 minute drive.

The area of Forest Hills is 7 km from Estepona on the eastern side. It is an area of natural beauty with private villas set within the abundance of trees and stunning mountains as a back-drop. See the link below for peace and quiet. A 2 mile drive down our quiet road takes you directly to your closest beach with with infinity pools, 4 restaurants and 30 designer boutiques. Estepona itself is a pretty, traditional Spanish town with an abundance of tapas bars, wonderful fresh fish restaurants and a long wide beach with a 2 mile long sea-front promenade. The town also has a bustling marina with bars and restaurants all overlooking the Yachts. The bars here open till late (4am) but for those wanting ´nightlife´ should venture to the glamour of Puerto Banus (15 min) or Marbella (20 min).

Notes: We designed and built our villa externally in an Italian style, however the interior is very contemporary and designed for entertaining. 'Ifield House' is situated in a peaceful area close to the traditional Spanish town and port of Estepona on the Costa Del Sol. Please note: The property is on 2 levels, built over the edge of a valley in the treetops with further steps going down to the swimming pool, garden and decking area. Very young children would have to be supervised, although stair gates are provided. All bedrooms are shaded and from sun an have colonial style ceiling fans. The villa has stunning views to both the sea and mountains and is surrounded by mature cork oak and pine trees. The main living area is open plan, with a pitched ceiling and large picture windows on all sides. There is also a sky + satellite system and 37' state of the art LCD TV. The Kitchen is newly fitted in modern Wenge wood and silistone, with a professional stainless Bosh range oven and Bosh appliances

For the explorer and culture vulture 'Ifield House' is ideally situated to get anywhere with ease. Malaga Airport is only a 40 minute drive, Gibraltar airport is also the same distance. The historic town's of Ronda and Malaga (Picasso Museum is a must see) are less than an hour away. Seville is 2 hours drive and Madrid 5 hours. The Atlantic coast with its wide surf beaches is an hour and a half away. Portugal is 4 hours, Gibraltar is only half an hour and for the adventurous amongst you, Africa is only 30 mins on the new fast ferry to Morocco.

Nearby there is Selwo Safari Park which is a must for children. Locally there are many varied restaurants. The closest Hipermarket is a 7 minute drive away stocking everything from fresh fish, wine, BBQ gear, clothes, sunglasses etc. There is a Sunday market at the local Marina and a large market on Wednesdays in the town.

A perfect holiday ...

We've just returned from a wonderful week in June at Grant and Jo's villa in Estepona. The pictures don't do the setting justice - and the pool is an amazing place to spend a morning, evening or a full day! The villa is home from home, only better. Every mod-con you need and great terraces to hide away in the shade. The location is perfect - far enough away from town to be peaceful, but near enough to make a quick trip to supermarket, shops and restaurants.

We were 6 people in total including 2 young children. It was great for kids as Jo provided a cot, toys and plenty of stairgates. Jo and Grant also helped us with a couple of great day trip itineraries. Estepona is a great family resort but also a great base for day trips. We hit Ronda in the hills, Verje de la Frontera (moorish village) near great beaches, Malaga and Marbella. All recommended.

All in all a perfect place to stay and ideal for a week or longer.
Owner's Response: Adrian and Catherine were a lovely family and really enjoyed their stay. They have children the same ages as ours (1 and 3) and were really gratefull to have all the toys for them to play with. They had never visited the Costa del Sol and being into culture, were pleasently surprised at how much there is to offer in the area. They found it a great place to base themselves and explore. They plan to come back later on in the year and we would welcome them back as they looked after the house so well.

Hello,

We have just had 2 fantastic weeks at Ifield House. The weather was amazing, so hot and only May! We had never booked a villa online before and was not quite sure what to expect. Grant met us and gave us excellent directions with good recomendation for the hire car company. The villa I have to say is amazing. The pictures are ok, but when we arrived my wife could not believe this was where we were staying! Everything was new and very clean. The nice thing for us was that you could tell this was a home and not just a rental villa as it felt cozy with nice furniture and pictures. We did go out to a few places but our favourite thing was just lazing about enjoying the barbeque and swimming in the pool every day. It was so quiet with no noise, not like where we live in Berlin. The views were stunning with the big mountain when you wake up and one night we sat on the terrace at sunset and could see Africa! We hope to come back if you will have us next time. ;-)

Home from home, only with Sunshine!

Thank you Grant & Jo for letting us take over your splendid home and for all your tips on hidden places and restaurants that we would never have known existed. I loved the sheer peace and tranquility.

Having just returned from a thoroughly relaxing time at Ifield House, I find myself reluctant to do any work!

As the kids never moved from the pool, I revelled sitting at my desk and writing whilst looking at such stunning views. As I write this at home in the Uk now, its grey and raining and wish we were back there.

I had no idea it would be so warm there in April either and will definately return. One of the highlights was to jump in the car and go skiing for the day and be home on the terrace with a much deserved glass of wine watching the sun set over the sea.

I must also mention your amazing bathrooms. The girls said that the whole place felt like a boutique hotel with individual suites for each of us. I have taken a tile sample back with me and will blatently copy your ideas for our revamp!

Best Family holiday we have ever had

We stayed at the villa for 3 weeks in August. There were 6 of us - Me, my husband, our 2 children and my parents. The house was very spacious and light and plenty of room with indoor dining table for 6, outdoor dining table for 6, 6 sunbeds, 6 seater outdoor sofas so we never felt on top of each other. Loved the private terraces. My dad spent most of his afternoons reading books on his own terrace complete with outdoor Fridge for his G & T's! The kids loved the huge pool. I barely moved from my double sized, very swish sunlonger and John had loads to keep him amused at Laguna Beach at the bottom of the road. Can't say enough good things about the place and have already rebooked for 2 weeks. I think the biggest difference is that you know you are staying in someones home and not just another faceless rental villa as beautifuly furnished and with the comfiest sofas I have ever come across! Grant & Jo the owners also very friendly and helpful as recommended loads of great restaurants, bars and beaches for us. Would I recommend it...What do you think?!

Best Holiday we've ever had!

We stayed at "Ifield House" this July for 2 weeks and have to say the photos do not do it justice! We were blown away and the kids kept describing it as a house that should be on "MTV Cribs". The new Gazebo was a perfect place to escape the afternoon heat and watch the sun set. All in all it was the perfect escape and we left feeling totally realxed and sad to go back to England. Already requested to rebook next year if it is available,
