Photos and Description of this Carlux holiday house

Our house is located in the heart of what is called "Le Périgord Noir" ( The Black Périgord), only ten minutes' drive from the Motorway 20 (A 20) . It is a modern self catering accommodation which was built in the style of the area . This "gîte" is on a small hill . It is very quiet and it is surrounded by many trees . There is also plenty of space around and you won't have any neighbours except our sheep, grazing peacefully further down . The property sleeps 2 to 7 . It is graded . (3 stars )

Whatever the season you choose for a holiday, there is always plenty to see and do in our beautiful Périgord which can boast so many prehistoric sites . Come and see our caves, lovely medieval villages and towns with their ancient buildings and enjoy some of the most wonderful places in Dordogne . Why not visit famous villages and towns such as Les Eyzies, Rocamadour, Padirac, Lacave, Sarlat, Lascaux, Fénelon ... ? to name but a few... Take long walks on the cliffs or follow the quiet lanes on the hills and you will be enchanted by the songs of the birds and lucky enough to meet the locals who will tell you about this country they like so much ... Catherine and Christophe will be delighted to meet you and you are welcome to stay for a weekly booking or a short break .

This is just the right place if you are holidaying with your family and want to unwind . You will enjoy a nice fire in the fireplace in the winter or you will have a BBQ in the summer after visiting the caves , castles or other places of interest the area has to offer . Canoeing on the River Dordogne or La Céou, cycling from Sarlat to Souillac or taking long walks just like the one called the famous "GR6route" from Sarlat to Rocamadour will be a great experience for those in need of adventure ... If you wish to have a more "cultural" holiday, Les Eyzies with the National museum of Prehistory or Lascaux will be worth a visit and don't forget the Jazz, cartoons, drama or films festivals which take place every year in the area . Of course, a more "gastronomic" holiday can also be considered ! Why not try "Tourain, magrets, confits, foie gras , French wines ....? You see," there is really plenty for everyone in Dordogne !"
