In Apulia, in the countryside near Ostuni, close to the sea you can find an old, romantic stone house. The “Lamia”, located in the middle of the characteristics dome shaped “trulli”, is just 20 minutes away from the wonderful beaches of the Natural Reserve area of Torre Guaceto. The charm of this house is in its original structure without any modification. It has an antique part with a typical caved, curved “volte a botte“ ceiling and several alcoves, where now are the kitchenette, a sofa, the dining table and the old fire-place. There is a passage linking to the night area with one double-bedroom, a second bedroom with 2 single beds, and a spacious bathroom. On the roof, there are a large veranda equipped for outdoor dining and a 50 m² solarium.

This property is surrounded by fertile farmland with a view of Ostuni 7 km away. There are very good restaurants both in Cisternino (6 km away) and Ceglie Messapica (6 km away). A short drive (15 km) brings you to the beaches of the Adriatic coast. Nearby you can find the attractive towns of Locorotondo and Alberobello with the beautiful central avenue of trulli. Noticeable are also the pre-Romans remains of the city of Egnazia and several sites of great archeologically interests. Ostuni is situated in the heart of the old kingdom of Frederick II, 110 km. South of Castel del Monte and 40 km. North of Oria, with their beautiful castles. The region is rich of beautiful old churches and cathedral, now particularly busy and alive, getting ready for the visit of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI n Brindisi next June.

danke fuer die zwei schoenen Urlaubswochen in Deinem Lamia-Ferienhaus!
Wir waren schon in vielen Ferienhaeusern, aber keins fanden wir so modern und grosszuegig. Und doch war alles traditionell stilsicher und stimmungsvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns vom ersten Tag an wohlgefuehlt.
Und schoen war auch, dass Du gleich in der Naehe wohnst. Als wir mal ein kleines Problem hatten, warst Du gleich zur Stelle und hast Dich um alles gekuemmert.
In dem kleinen Kater Marcello hatten wir einen speziellen "Reisefuehrer": Wenn wir abends von unseren Ausfluegen zurueckkehrten, hat er uns jedesmal freudig erwartet und uns das Gefuehl gegeben, nach hause zu kommen. Und manchmal hat er uns auch einfach zum Entspannen und Faulsein inspiriert.
Da wir oefter selbst gekocht haben (wozu nimmt man sonst ein Ferienhaus!), haben wir uns zwischen den saftigen Salbeistauden und heckenhohen Rosmarinbueschen wie im Paradies gefuehlt. Und auch Deine staunenswerte Kraeuter-Apotheke haben wir zuhause schon weiterempfohlen!
