The fantastic location makes it suitable as a starting point for visiting the province of Oristano, with beautiful beaches, restaurants, Agriturismo and wineries. You can enjoy a good wine and eat good fresh fish in our area. RYANAIR flights to Alghero (90 min driving) and Cagliari from London, Liverpool, Madrid, Barcelona-Gerona, East Midlands, Paris, Frankfurt Han. Sa Sartiglia:: In the Shrove Sunday and Tuesday and in the 15 of August, at Oristano takes place the old tradition of Sa Sartiglia, originated from a Spanish equestrian ability tournament lasted in the XVI Century and consisting in trying to stick the center of a star, hanging from a ribbon pulled from one side to the other of a street near the city's cathedral and high about 3 meters from the ground, with a sword, while riding a full gallop horse. But pay your attention not to be gambled from this gaming look: Sa Sartiglia is a complex festival, where rituals and symbologies assume deep and ancient meanings, owned by this side of Sardinian Island.

Tharros:: In the 7th century B.C. a town called Tharros already rose here. It grew in the Punic and Roman Age extending itself to the hill which is dominated by St John's Tower. Fortified in the Byzantine age, it continued to live until the 9th century A.C., when it was conquested by Saracen raids. The ancient town show the rests of numerous temples, of Roman baths and of Nuraghic tophet.

A perfect stay!

We spent one week in this apartment in September. It is located at a 2-minute drive from Oristano. It is well-appointed, clean, tastefully decorated and modernly equipped. Nothing was missing in the kitchen. The area is quiet and just a few meters away from the apartment there is a small supermarket where you can find all the basics, including fresh bread. The beaches in the area are close and beautiful. Cabras, the next village, is full of excellent fish restaurants. The owner of the apartment Rosella was very nice and explained to us how things work in the apartment and what to visit in the region. She was available for any questions during our stay. If you rent this apartment, you will live like the locals and you'll be able to reach easily the rest of the island. We are considering a longer stay next year and we'll definitely come back to this apartment.

Great flat in Oristano

The flat is absolutely lovely and exceeded by far our expectations in terms of equipment and standard (kitchen devices, flat screen TV, washing machine, bikes, ... name it). Everything was very clean, and the owner's hospitality, hep and service were outstanding. She helped us with leisure time recommendations, restaurant reservations etc. We would recommend this flat and intend to come back for our next trip to Sardegna. Oristano itself is a nice town with all kind of cafés and restaurants (our recommendation:CRAF) . From Oristano, you reach historical sites (e.g. Tharros), beaches, horseback riding facilities. You also find some agriturismo (our favourite in the area: Il Giglio in Massama). We saw different places in Sardegna and highly appreciate the Oristano area.

Everything was better than expected - easy and friendly first and personal contact to the owner, free choice of date and time of arrival, good place to explore the Island, quit neighborhood and only 6 km distance to the highway, a small market in 100 m distance, the supermarket in 2 km distance, Oristano is a nice place to visit and to have coffee, icecream and to go to restaurants.
The apartment was fully equipped, especially the kitchen, but also the entertainment facilities and all the things we needed to have a fine holiday time (air condition/heating, DVD, balcony, garage,bicycle,...).
We enjoyed our stay and would like to come back again, last but not least because of the friendly, uncomplicated and helpful behavior of the owner.
