Barcelona holiday house: Barcelone

This special little house is full of character. It's located in Barcelona's old town centre, in the 'Barceloneta' quarter, 3 minutes walk from the Mediterranean sea and the popular city centre beach. Barceloneta is the old fishing quarter of Barcelona. There is a friendly and traditional atmosphere with many sea-food restaurants, seafront bars and a large food market. Barceloneta is nestled between the seafront, the yachting marina and the beautiful old Borne quarter. It's easy to get to Las Ramblas simply by walking from the Barceloneta along the marina. The Borne quarter is famous for its classic gothic church, the Santa Maria del Mar, and the many old workshops, studios, bars and artisan shops. The house is a lovely classic building built at the end of the 19th century. There are 3 floors and a light and airy private roof terrace on top of the house. Each of the 2 possible bedrooms has its own balcony. The house is cosy and full of home comforts, such as very comfortable beds (one is a sofa bed), a fully equipped kitchen, wireless internet, mini foot spa, plants, collection of books, city information and quality bedding and bathroom accessories. The house has been decorated with loving care and style, inspired by the local environment, artisan crafts and contemporary world design. When there are no guests in the house, the owner is re-designing the building in an environmentally and socially responsible way. When you rent the house, you will be donating to this project. Note: Noise: the house is in a non-touristic street, so it's important to be careful about noise - the house is not the right place for parties. The reservation fee is also the deposit - to be returned at the end of your stay when there are no damages.
