The Saint Ambroise neighborhood is nestled between many highlights of Paris. You are a short distance walk to the famous Pere Lachaise Cemetery, now home to Jim Morrrison and Oscar Wilde. You could spend a whole day here exploring the tombs of many greats. Enjoy the very popular Bastille open-air market located on Boulevard Richard Lenoir right next to the famous Place de la Bastille. From here, you are steps to the Marais, a simply charming and diverse neighborhood, dotted with museums and unique shops and fashion houses by up-and-coming designers. And of course closer to home you have the beautiful Square Gardette and Square de la Roquette where you can sit about reading a book or enjoy your baguette and jambon (ham), sandwich. You are a 5 minutes walk to Pere Lachaise, 15 minutes to either Republique or Bastille and 20 minutes to the Marais.

We enjoyed our short stay in this apartment very much. Yetunde made us feel very welcome! There is enough information in a booklet as well as touristic books in the apartment. Internet access is very handy.
Situated in quiet street, no noise at night. Beds are okay, sofa is less. Do not take too much food with on your trip to this apartment: there is a supermarket across the street and indeed several bakeries nearby.

We enjoyed two weeks at this apartment this summer. It has a very good location, very close to the metro (two different lines), a supermarket, several boulangeries, ... and only ten-fifteen minutes walk from Bastille Square.
It is also very well equipped, with all the facilities, and the appliances of very good quality; there are also dvds, tourist guides, etc. The organization was excellent, with a friendly and informative welcome, and a useful booklet with information about the apartment and the area. Highly recommended, I should repeat our stay without any doubt.
