Two beautifully appointed apartments. One front ground floor apartment and one front top floor apartment, (accessed by a lift) situated in the magnificently renovated historical Villa Isella, once the home of Count Borromeo, which dates back to the 1600's. Set in a beautiful private landscaped hillside park with a swimming pool and its own chapel. Ideal base for summer holidays and skiing in winter. Only 1hr 20mins to Madesimo, 1hr 30mins to St. Moritz, 1hr 30mins to Chiesa in Valmalenco and 2hrs to Bormio. Very easy to be in the mountains and have a full day skiing with lunch in any of these resorts. Return to Villa Isella feeling refreshed and exhilarated! The Swiss border is just at a15mins drive away and the elegant town of Lugano offers a casino, chic shops, restaurants and bars, ideal for Christmas shopping! Porlezza on Lago di Lugano is only 5mins away. Menaggio on Lago di Como is just at a 10mins distance. Wonderful cafe bars, restaurants, shops and banks are all close by.

Villa Isella is approached by a private residential road. The park can be entered by the electronic gates for secure parking. Relax in Villa Isella’s private parkland grounds which has its own beautiful chapel. This elegant apartment has a sitting room with a pellet fire, TV, DVD and CD player. One double and one twin bedded room. Beautiful shower room. A fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven/grill & fridge/freezer. Dining table and chairs for six people. Full central heating and double glazed throughout. Table and 4 chairs on the terrace. In the private grounds of Villa Isella the dining and seating area with a barbecue can accommodate up to 8 people very comfortably.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The prices quoted are for each apartment, please double the prices if you require both apartments.
    Arrival time, normally start at 3pm and onwards, however it maybe possible to be flexible on this.
    Departure time, before 10am please.
    One week stay has a charge of €85 that include bed linen & towels, gas, electricity, water and cleaning.
    For a two week stay a charge of €120 and clean linen & towels will be provided for your second week.

    A refundable deposit of €150 for any damages after itinerary check.

    Tea towels and pool towels are not supplied.

    Please add €50 per week from November to March for heating.

    Please order pellets for the fire with your booking. One 15kg bag usually lasts all day at approx. €4,50 a bag.

    Well behaved dogs are welcomed, but please not on the sofas and beds! Oh and not in the pool!

Notes: This property is perfect for the elderly or those with physical disabilities as everything is on the ground floor. Direct access on one level from the garden to the entrance of the Cherub apartment and all the internal rooms. A gentle paved slope in the grounds, allows you to wander in the grounds, swim in the pool and dine at the barbecue area, without using the steps.
