The country at the seashore! 40 m2 duplex appartment in a traditional French stone farmhouse, restoration completed in 2007, tastefully decorated with all modern conveniences. Exposed stone inside and out, traditional terracotta tile floors on the ground floor and solid pine floors in the bedrooms upstairs. The original farm, divided among several resident owners, is located in a protected agricultural zone away from the hubbub of the summer crowds and passing cars, but only 2.3 km from the beautiful sandy beaches and shopping. Sunny and calm. On the ground floor, open-plan kitchen with gas stove, completely equipped and outfitted (microwave oven, dishwasher, etc.), table for 4, opening onto a small living area with sofa, television, DVD player, stereo, and a small shady terrace outside with a table for 4, parasol, and barbecue grill.

Officially part of the community of Château d'Oléron, the farmhouse is located near the Viaduct, between the Château d'Oléron town center and the town of Dolus. Surrounded by agricultural land and grassy fields, you will not hear the traffic of summer vacationers. A 5-minute drive (2.3 km) takes you to the natural sandy beach of Vertbois and a shopping center (with Intermarché supermarket). The farmhouse opens onto a country path leading to the island's many bike paths. The kids and adults can play ping-pong, badminton or kick a football on the the acre of enclosed, shaded, flowering land of the owners. The courtyard of this 500-year-old farmhouse is enclosed by small stone buildings (all beautifully restored) with an old watering hole in the center, now a tiny pond.
