The village of Chaillac is situated between the beautiful lakes and forests of the Brenne Natural Park and the picturesque Creuse Valley, with its little villages full of character and houses of artists and writers such as George Sand, the famous 19th century novelist. It is within a short drive from the borders of the Vienne, the Haute Vienne and the Creuse. There is a large lake with water slide and children's games in the village, also smaller lake with fishing, and tennis 300 m. There is an interesting museum of minerology in village. Near two of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France: 6 kms from mediaeval village of St Benoit du Sault, 25 km Gargilesse, home of George Sand. 15 km from Eguzon Lake with water sports, sailing and beaches. Paris 3-4 hours, train or driving. Located in the wooded countryside of the southern Centre-Val-de-Loire, in the heart of the Berry region, the Berrichon people live side by side with nature, and you will find a host of traditions and a heritage of 'bon vivre'. The village has a traditional bakery, butcher, wine shop and supermarket. The house is occupied by the owners but has independent access via steps to the apartment. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, refrigerator and washing machine. There is a lounge diner with TV and sofa bed, which converts into a small double bed. The bedroom has a double bed, and the bathroom has a shower. Possibility tout rent the apartement just for 1 night or more.
