The charm of the house resides in its tiled terrace located in the back, and which opens directly to the kitchen, unless you prefer to use the barbecue! Without any face to face and perfectly peaceful, it opens to the garden of 300 sqm and it is shadowed by a huge catalpa tree. House from the Charente region, from 1850, removed tastefully in 2004 (shower and kitchen in 2008-2009) it is suitable for people sensitive to acaroids (lime painting; any wall-to-wall carpet, only tiling and plastic floor). Smoking is forbidden and pets are not allowed without authorization. Many walks are possible without taking the car, walk or bike (birds in oyster beds, wood...). Its central location in the peninsula allows you to reach the activity or the excursion place desired rather fast, whether it is the beach or the museums. Easy access by car (A10 motorway, exit Saintes), by train (Royan then bus). Airport in Merignac or La Rochelle.

House located in the peninsula of Arvert very close to the marshlands of the basin of Marennes-Oleron (within 2 km), the beaches (Ronce Les Bains is 8 km away, Marennes 12 km away, Royan 15 km away, Oleron and St Georges de Didonne are 20 km away), and many activities (zoo of La Palmyre and its 1600 animals is 15 km away, city of oyster in Marennes, forest of the Coubre, estuary of Gironde ..). A folder and guidebooks are provided to help you with your choices. Very numerous tours in ATV in surrounding woods and forests and at the middle of oyster beds (bike provided on request). Shops are 10 min walk (3 bakeries, 1 butcher, 1 pork butcher, 1 newspaper office, 3 minimarkets, 1 pharmacy, post office, cash machine, 1 flower shop...). A supermarket is 5 km away. The doctor is 5 mn away. Market on Thursday morning (+ all mornings in the Tremblade 7 km away). Cinema and casino in Ronce (8 km away). Walks on boat at sea as at river (the Seudre, which irrigates the marshlands, is very near)

You can also rent the house out of school holidays at a privileged rate (contact us). You have just to pay a 30 Euros deposit at the booking; the balance is paid on the day of your arrival with the 300 Euros security deposit and the certificate of insurance.

At your disposal, books and reviews for children. The bedding is complete by a sofa-bed for 1 or 2 people. Paint metal beds and caning. Practically new mattresses. Pillows, bedclothes, duvets, underlays and pillowcases provided. Sheets not provided.

Notes: The house has a large garage (a kind of boat garage) convenient for large size cars, as well as a private parking place. 2 garden tables (metal and PVC) are at your disposal, as well as 12 chairs and 5 deckchairs. The terrace has a plug for the electric barbecue. The equipped kitchen renovated in 2009 integrates a large refrigerator-freezer, a mixed cooker with oven, a microwave oven, a washing machine and a 9 cutlery dish washer. A complete inventory is at disposal on request. A bistro table with 4 chairs allows to have a breakfast, unless to be attracted by the terrace. The living room has a sofa-bed, with 2 rocking-chairs and a television (radio-relay channels and DTT). It goes on with the dining room, which has a white wooden table and 8 chairs. Upstairs, a large mezzanine illuminated by the roof and equipped with rattan furniture, allows to listen to music or to play with the provided board games.
