La Sorga de Vida is a charming, authentic and serene manorhouse dating from the beginning of the 19th century and situated in the heart of Quarante, pretty Languedocian village, not far from the Canal du Midi. It is these charming surroundings that Geneviève et Alain invite you to enjoy their peaceful guesthouse, nestling in the magnificent countryside, between the sea and the foothills of Haut Languedoc. Surrounded by castles and wineries producing A.O.C St Chinian wines, it is the perfect location for an escapade in the south-west of France. This area, full of History, will offer you a mosaic of landscapes, sites and Cathar monuments to discover. La Sorga de Vida is also a « health farm » where Alain, previously professional sportman can tailor a programme of activities, including a choice of indoor fitness routines within the gym or outdoors by mountain bike or by country walks to suit your personal preferences.

Location: Quarante in France

The village of Quarante lies on the border of Hérault and Aude, near the Canal du Midi, within half an hour drive from the sea and, three quarters of an hour from Haut Lanquedoc, Salvetat, Avene. Béziers Airport at 30 Kms. Carcassonne airport at 50 Kms Béziers Train station at 24 Kms Narbonne train station at 20 Kms. By road, take the motorway A9 , exit 36 Béziers Ouest direction St Pons through A-road 112 , at Puisserguier take direction Capestang then Quarante. La Sorga de Vida, our guest house is situated in the heart of the village, on a bend of side street to the right of the town hall.

La Campagnarde smaller but very authentic and so cosy painted in lime, will delight you with its original beams, its charming bathroom inside the veranda. La Canal du Midi spacious and also full of charm with its own fireplace, original stones, languedocians tiles, fitted out with a bed of 160 cms, with the possibility of adding an extra bed of 90 cms and its own private bathroom.
