This very quiet apartment (50m2) is in an old, fortified town centre. It has been carefully fitted and furnished and is an ideal base from which to visit the listed world heritage sites in the town (medieval citadel, Midi canal) and the rich history of the region (Chateaux, abbeys and picturesque villages). Your holiday is made easier by the free parking nearby and free shuttle to the citadel. And not forgetting Carcassonne beach, Cavayere lake, the relaxing atmosphere and lots of leisure activities. This is a diverse region stretching from the Lauragais plains, across Corbiere's vineyards, through Minevois (home of the famous blanquette) and to the the Mediterranean Sea. Don't leave our region without having tried the cuisine: cassoulet, foie gras, duck fillets...We will tell you all the best places to eat.

Of all the ports in Languedoc-Roussillon, l'Aude boasts a diverse landscape (sea, mountains, crop fields, vineyards, plains and valleys). Carcassonne, with it's old city and Midi canal, is in the centre of the region so is a great base from which to explore the area. Castelaudary to the west is the place for enjoying Cassoulet. Limoux is further south and offers sparkling blanquette. Narbonne on the coast has an historical town centre and an easy-going lifestyle. The room enjoys a view over the rooftops. Pillows and bolsters are available on request.
