The house is new (2008) ideally placed :2km from the outskirts of Montpellier,17 km from beaches.The house is situated in a beautiful old village just outside Montpellier,in a quiet and cosy neighbourhood.Montferrier sur Lez is a beautiful old french village perched on a hill-top,with a small market every week.It is surrounded by fields and vineyards. There is a 450m2 garden ,80m2 terrace facing south,a new swimmingpool 4x8meters,enclosed (divided with an another sympatic family).There is a private carpark for 2 cars,2 private entrances. There are 140m2 inhabitable,3 bedrooms + 1 Sofa,for 6-7 people (+a baby). The house is very light with bay windows giving onto the terrace.It is fully and newly equipped. There are a lot of nearby activities : the zoo,the tropical greenhouse (3kms),woods for walking and running (3kms),a riding centre (3kms).There is a golf club 9kms away, a wine-tasting "route" around Pic Saint Loup that starts 6kms away. The entrance to Montpellier is just 2 km away with lots of cultural activities: The old city is mainly pedestrian with lovely shadey squares with cafes and restaurants,and has the oldest medical faculty in Europe! Count 30 kms to the Cevennes montains (hiking,canoeing,kayaking,Ganges market on Fridays...) and 45 kms to the Roman city of Nimes (with its well known Roman Arena) A file with all usefull informations (restaurants,markets,bread-shops,cultural activities...)translated into English will be left in the house.
