Lovely, quiet, all-white, fully detached, fenced all around, two-storey resort villa with two big verandas and flat roof equipped with deck chairs (for sun bathing) and panoramic view over the village and the sea, 500 meters from sandy beach, easy access to Athens, the new Intl. Athens Airport, the archaeological sites of Marathon, Sounion, Vravrona and Rafina port (for a day or more cruise to the Aegean islands). Full of night life for those who seek it (until early hours - July to September), open air cinemas, restaurants, sea food tavernas and discos by the sea. Good shopping centre (15 minutes walk, 3 min. by bike - 2 bicycles available for your exclusive use). Fully furnished in good taste. Garden with fig, lemon, apricot, olive, almond trees, rose bushes, flowers.

Upstairs section (50 m2) consists of 1 x double bed room with wide balcony door (2,5 m.) with excellent view of the sea, 2 x 2 single bed rooms and big verandas (22 m2) with awnings, all rooms with fitted closets. Each veranda with table and 6 chairs. The house is cool in the summer, airy, bright and sunny. Access to upper floor through internal and external marble stairs. Regrettably, not suitable for infirm persons due to multi levels/stairs. The property lies on a plot of 300 m2. Access to the flat tiled roof (for a panoramic view of the beach and all directions).

Activities:: * The sandy beach is endless and water shallow for about 20 m., excellent for children. Activities on beach include rackets, pedalos, wind surfing, etc. * Full of night life (until early hours - July to September) at the restaurants, sea food tavernas and discos by the sea. Good shopping centre (15 minutes walk, 3 min. by bike). * Do not miss the open air cinemas, watching a nice film in its original language (with Greek subtitles) while sipping your refreshment and eating your snacks under the starry sky!

Places to go:: Athens - 30 kms away - bus runs every 30’ to nearest underground station (combined ticket rate Euro 1,15 only!) for short trips to Acropolis, the museums, Plaka (the ancient part of Athens with picturesque taverns and souvenir shops), all places of interest in the centre of Athens, Piraeus (the biggest Greek port) and Kifissia, the aristocratic suburb. Marathon - (with its dam from which the Athenians get their water supply) is just 25 kms north and Sounion - with the Temple of Poseidon, 30 kms south, both accessible by car. The new name of Loutsa is 'Artemis', as the ruins of the Goddess of Hunting were found in the center of the town. The local museum of Peania Cava - The beautiful cave of Peania on Hymettus mountain, 15 km. Vravrona - is rich in classical findings. ** We strongly recommend an outing for a drink or a refreshment in the evening at the breath-taking 'Kastro', in Porto Rafti - 8 kms south of Loutsa. **Also a visit to the marvellous ZOO nearby the villa (10 klm)

Miscellaneous information:: * Access to the new International Athens Airport 'Eleftherios Venizelos' by bus running every 30' minutes (5 kms, via a special route - back entrance) at Euro 1,47/person or by car/taxi (20 kms) at approx. Euro 15,00. * Easy access also to Rafina port (5 klms) for daily excursions to the Aegean islands. * Car rentals available upon request. * Banks, post office, pharmacies, doctors, etc. down town. * Passenger car rental is recommended to visit all the antiquities.

A warm and friendly welcome by the owners and a property which lived up to its discription, although the extra bed in the living area was not the most comfortable. The location was within easy walking distance of the beach and restaurants, with other shops being a little further away, but not too far.
Not the traditional Greek resort (based on previous island experiences). Largely Greek tourists which was good! Restaurants are a little limited in the range of foods that they provide.
Easy and cheap access to Athens by local bus (1 hour).
Overall, a very convenient villa and a very relaxing holiday.
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: We were most pleased to have the excellent Holme's family as our guests. Thank you for your review. However, allow us to comment that the villa sleeps 6 persons in 3 bedrooms and the there is no extra bed in the living room. A member of the family chosed to sleep on the sofa instead of the bed in his room. If the sofa was not most comfortable for sleeping, we are really sorry.

FABULOUS House, close to beach +++

I stayed in this house over June/July 2010 for a little over a week. The pictures do not do this house justice, it is so amazing once you get there. There are 2 large decks with an incredible rooftop terrace and ample living space as we had a full house. It is close walking distance to the beach and great shops are all along the main strip.

The house is safe, peaceful, great for entertaining & cooking and was a pleasure to stay in. I'm hoping I'll be able to again one day soon.

Memorable 2 weeks holiday!

A place where we and our friends spent a memorable 2 weeks holiday in August 2009. Everything ran smoothly, like taking a cold shower on the villa's roof, reading a book in a hammock under the fig-tree, or watching the sunrise on the nearby beach.
The property is more cheerful than in description.
Yolanda and Christos are very careful and discrete hosts, we thank them a lot for their hospitality.
We've seen many wonderful places in the sunny Greece, we want to come back here someday.
