The apartment, elegant and comfortable, with a very large and well furnished terrace (90 m²), is on the upper floor of a two-level modern villa surrounded by a lush garden. The Villa is situated in a very quiet residential area, (one can only hear the singing of birds in the morning!!) just close (100 m) to the white sandy beach of Capaci, in the middle of the gulf of Carini. The hall is finely furnished and it is divided into 2 areas: a living-room, with a comfortable sofa set in front of a nice fireplace (during the winter we provide our guests with firewood) and the dining room, communicating with the kitchen through a nice window. Moreover, the hall is particularly bright thanks to 2 big windows, one in the living-room area and one in the dining room area (both overlooking the sea) and a big opening on the solarium-terrace with a view over the sea. The typically Sicilian kitchen is furnished with everything necessary for the needs of 5 people and is equipped with microwave oven

The Gulf of Carini is the bay on the north-west of Palermo, between Capo Gallo and Punta Raisi. In the middle of the gulf, there are two resorts: Isola delle Femmine and Capaci - old fishing villages, today regionally protected natural reserve - with a large beautiful sandy beach and with an islet in front of them. Isola delle Femmine and Capaci beaches, well equipped during the bathing season, are destinations for tourists and holidaymakers. During the day you can relax lying under the sun on the wonderful sandy beach or enjoy practising swimming, water gym, windsurfing, beach volley or just walking along the coast. There are various attractions at night: pubs, parties on the beach, shows in the square or in the sea front and so on. The two villages enjoy a good position, because they are 10 minutes far from the chief town and in the centre of the gulf of Carini, so that you can have a sea and a cultural holiday at the same time.

The temperature is from 20 to 28 degrees, so one can still swim as well as very often in October, when the temperature is from 16 to 25 degrees (Celsius). In November as in April there are normally 14-20 degrees, in December 9-16, in January 8-15, in February 9-16, in March 10-17, in April 11-20, in Mai 14-24, in June 18-28.
    How to reach Villa 'Marinella on the sea': There are many economic direct flights. There are planes HLX or Ryanair. You can also reach Naples with your car, then put it on the ship Grandi Navi Veloci and disembark in Palermo. Another possibility is to drive to Genova and there take the ship of Grandi Navi Veloci to Palermo.

The house: From the ground floor, where the owners live during the year, by an outside staircase you reach the apartment: the spacious panoramic terrace (90 m2) with dining table and sun beds, the living room with dining area and lounge area with fireplace. The kitchen, the shower-room with two lavatories and toilet, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. All the bedrooms have air conditioning.

Beach facilities : During the summer period the owners, being holders of one of the most exclusive bathing establishments in the Northern shore of Sicily, provide their guests with free access to the beach and the free use of two beach chairs, a beach umbrella and one canoa

Distances: The beach: 100 m. The bathing station: 900 m. Shops: 600 m. Highway: 5 minutes. Palermo center: 20 minutes. Monreale: 25 minutes. Scopello, San Vito Lo Capo, Erice, Trapani, Motia, Selinunte, Segesta: 90 minutes. Agrigento, Sciacca: 2 hours.

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children spent almost three weeks in July 2009 at this charming seaside villa.The apartment is very spacious, well-equipped and nicely decorated. It is surrounded by a big well kept garden and is located in a nice, quiet residential area. We just loved to spend evenings on a huge sun-terrace, observing mountain and sea views. The owners are nicest family- very friendly and intelligent. Public sandy beach is very close. But we advise to visit the owners' beach (800 mtrs away)-very clean and equipped with all you may need. The location gives opportunity to reach Palermo city in just 15 minutes by car. Numerous places of interst are easy to reach as well. One of our best holiday experiences.

We spend a great time in this appartment. Very large terrace, very clean and well equiped appartment. The computer which is availabel helped us very much to discover the island when "googeling" all interesting spots on the island. The appartment is about 15 min from Palermo airport which doesn't mean that you are effected by any aircraft noise. It is about 10 min. by foot to the private beach of the owner. The appartment is pretty close to the motorway to Trapani and to Messina/Catania which makes it pretty convenient to travel if you don't want to use only country roads. The host were very nice and helpful and took care for all our belongings. All bedrooms where airconditioned and feat. Moskitonets in the windows. The living room is very large which suits the entire size of the appartment. The appartmet is also perfect for families with children.
We can only recommend this appartment and look forward returning pretty soon.

Marinella on the Sea, Capaci, Sicily

We had a great stay of three weeks in June 2008 at “Marinella on the sea”. The charming family owners were exceptionally hospitable, friendly and helpful. The apartment villa is certainly very spacious and very comfortable, and is located in a lovely, well kept residential area. A main feature is the enormous sun-terrace, which afforded marvellous views of the surrounding mountains, the calm torquoise blue sea and the “romantic” setting-sun. A short stroll away is the long picturesque sandy beach. The owner’s part is immaculately maintained and features all necessary amenities to suit all needs. The local small non-touristy town is within easy walking distance (great for pizzas and ice-cream parlours) and Palermo’s lively city centre is just 15 minutes away by car. All-in-all, a great place for young and old alike which is close to the warm invigorating sea, and also well located for exploring beautiful Sicily, both Ancient and Modern. Thanks again, JEJK.

Wir haben eine sehr schöne, sehr saubere und sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung in einem wunderschönen Garten vorgefunden. Die Vermieter sind sehr sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Auto ist erforderlich.
