About Lake Orta:
Lake Orta, the ancient “Cusius” is an oasis of alpine greenery enriched with marvellous gardens and green meadows in a Mediterranean climate. Lake Orta really is a 'man-sized lake' because, with a local writer’s words, it can 'be embraced at a single glance'. From the many balconies overlooking it, from one shore and from the other, Cusio offers the visitor the gift of a great, soft beauty which calls to contemplation, to the stopping of time in a place one would wish never to leave. But Lake Orta, with its un-doubtful tourist vocation, will also offer you any kind of amusements and sports lovers will also be able to practice all water sports (sailing, surfing, canoeing, water-skiing, etc.), horse-riding, golf and tennis.
