La Genestière is ideally situated between Orange, with its theatre unique in Europe, and Vaison, with its untouched roman and medieval quarters, it will help you to discover many aspects of our Provencal history. The 14th century Pope%?9s palace in Avignon and the many high quality Côtes-du-Rhône wineries in the immediate vicinity deserve your visit when holidaying at Mas Saint-Paul. For the wine enthusiasts, La Genestière is less than 10 miles away from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Cairanne, Beaumes-de-Venise, Rasteau. We will be able to provide you with addresses and recommendations. The Ventoux, known as the Géant de Provence (nearly 6000 feet), which features every year in the Tour de France and other cycle races, is clearly visible from the grounds and only an hour away by car. The climb bybicycle, from Malaucène or from Bédoin, is undertaken by thousands of enthusiasts every year. With its diversity, our part of the country attracts hundreds of cycling fans.
