The house is situated in a quiet cul de sac. It is on three levels, with a courtyard in front of the house and a sunny, private and enclosed south-facing courtyard leading directly from the kitchen. It is decorated with paiintings and antique carvings, with good quality furniture ad fittings. The owners are keen cooks and thus you will find that the kitchen, though small, has a good array of kitchen equipment, including a kettle and teapot and a dishwasher.

The village of Grillon, near Valreas, is perfectly situated for visiting the famous Cotes du Rhone wine villages of Valreas and Visan, and the area just east of Grillon is well known, not only for its wine but for its lavender, apricots and AOC olives and olive oil. There is plenty of opportunity for visiting ancient Roman sites as Vaison la Romaine and Orange are just half-an-hour away by car. The Ardeche is also within easy reach and offers rafting as swimming, as well as stunning scenery. We are just 5 Kilometres away from the biggest truffle market in France (a well-kept secret). From late November to early March you can visit the intriguing truffle market of Ricerenches held on Saturday mornings, and perhaps splash out on the most rare of underground treasures, known hereabouts as the "Black Diamond"!
