Le Gîte du Pas de l'Ours is 5 km from Faverges (population 6000 - all trades), 5 km from the ski slopes of Seythenex open summer/winter (la Sambuy : www.lasambuy.fr), and 12 km from the beaches of Doussard on Lake Annecy. Annecy is 30 km away and Albertville (where the 1992 winter Olympic games were held )17 km, through the Tamié Pass (12th century Cistercian Abbey), where wine and local cheeses, made by the monks, can be purchased. ACTIVITIES: Summertime: walking - hikes- all kinds of activities at Lake Annecy (waterskiing) - hang gliding, para gliding - canyoning - climbing - mountain bikes.
