Skiing:
Over 200km of pistes skiing in the Aravis range. All types of skiing are available with pistes to suit all abilities including the 2nd steepest black run in Europe. Queues are rare and the area has a good snow record. Snow cannons extending the ski season which lasts from December 15 to April 15 but often open earlier and later. Direct access to the lift network is in the middle of Le Grand Bornand and the snow bus stops only a few metres away at the end of the lane, giving access to Chinaillon, La Clusaz and St Jean De Sixt. The area has 120 pistes, including 5 black, 30 red, 45 blue and 40 green runs. There are 98 ski lifts, 2 snow parks, 2 competition stadiums and night skiing.
The Aravis ski pass is great value and covers all the resorts in the area.
Summer Activities:
A wide range of activities are available including mountain walks, parapenting, archery, trampolining, petanque, tennis, table tennis, mountain biking, horse riding, white water rafting, canyoning, hot air ballooning, fishing, karting and snooker.
There is an extensive outdoor swimming pool complex in the village.
Golfers are well catered for with a 9 hole course in Le Grand Bornand and several 18 hole courses within an hours drive.
The beautiful city of Annecy and its lake with beaches is only 40 mins away by car.
