Photos and Description of this Bars holiday farmhouse

Two idyllic, homely stone Dordogne 18th Century residences. A romantic Farmhouse and Barn. Both are luxuriously furnished. 10x5 salt-system swimming pool with alarm system and sauna. Both houses are furnished to a very high standard in European terms, with lovely furniture, oriental rugs and Tibetan antiques, The decor reflects the years which we have spent working in the Himalayas and Africa. As the farmhouse and the barn are very much part of our home, they have not been stripped down for rental purposes. We hope that our quests will appreciate the artistic decor and keep Marance in their holiday memories. The large grassy gardens are landscaped with flowerbeds, herbs, roses and many different varieties of trees. Much place for the children to safely discover nature in our 6 acres of fenced undisturbed pasture and woods. The exclusivity of the holiday is maintained by its tranquil setting, far from noisy roads.

Nearest Motorway: Thenon at 15 Kilometres
Nearest Airport: Bergerac ou Bordeaux at 150 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Thenon at 7 Kilometres
We are in the Perigord Noir approximately in the center of the region. The area is richly sprinkled with medieval chateaux , fortified towns and prehistoric caves. Our houses are of ochre stone with charming blue shutters and covered with flowers and vines so typical of this part of France. The pretty village of Montignac on the river Vezere is fifteen minutes drive away. This is the site of the Lascaux caves. Other sites of importance are within close reach. as well as the Vezere river for canoeing and picnicking. Also a lake is within minutes away for fishing and live music.dancing eating in the evenings or at lunch..
