Away from the bustle, but not too far away.

"I arrived down the dusty track to the apartment, situated in what I believe to be an old convent. I was met by one of the owners who showed me the apartment and all its facilities. These included a cooker and stove, refrigerator and washing machine, all of which appeared new, easy to use and in great condition. There was a TV, and anyone wanting to keep up with the news at home it did receive BBC World News. The apartment was very clean and well-maintained. The bedrooms were comfortable and cool. Although not far from a main road it was very peaceful. The apartment had its own terrace with table and chairs and large sun shade. As the sun did not get round until late afternoon it was pleasant to sit there at any time of the day or evening. My two Westie dogs spent hours just lying out there. Its position was very good, 15 minutes from San Gimignano, Volterra, and only 30 minutes from Siena and an hour from Florence. There is a restaurant not far from the end of the track, and in easy walking distance, and there are supermarkets in nearby Colle di Val D'elsa and Poggibonsi. There is lots to see and if you want a change from city or countryside it is not that far to the Tuscan coast.
The owners of the property were very friendly and cooperative. They were very willing to give information and advise on places of interest and things to do. One day whilst I was there the electricity went down. Within 10 minutes of receiving my phone call to the owners for help the problem was solved and power restored.
My only concern is that if anyone arrives in a low-floored car ithey should take their time on the track.
This was a great holiday, restful, and at times busy. I would recommend this apartment to my friends, and hope to return soon. A great thank you to the Berti family for looking after me."
