The house is the spacious guest house by the “La Casina” courtyard. The ground level house has 85 m² - enough space for 4-6 people. The two bedrooms, each with a comfortable shower/bath, are reached through the large living room with a fireplace and kitchenette. A double bed couch offers more space for 2 more people. The garden, with its walnut trees and connected to an olive garden and fruit orchard, offers a lot of options. Here you can eat outside, maybe grill during the evening or simply enjoy the sun and the scenery from a lawn chair far from the usual noises of civilization. At the same time, children can play around on the small playground or maybe they can play with a rabbit. This is an ideal location for relaxing vacations for large and small guests, but also for pets.

The house is located at the foot of Rocca Sillana – a medieval fortress that dominates the valleys of the Cecina and Pavone rivers. Here you will also find far reaching untouched nature with wild orchids and cyclamen. Forests and olive groves invite you to take long walks where the only sounds are those of the wind rustling in the tree tops and the chirping of birds. S. Dalmazio is a very charming, medieval settlement and can be reached by foot in 30 minutes. 2 small restaurants offer traditional Tuscan food. Furthermore, you will also find a grocery store and a post office. With a 30 minute walk up Rocca Sillana, you can have a unique view of the sea. Casa Tiziana is located in the heart of Tuscany and offers a wide variety for art enthusiasts. Volterra, Siena, S. Gimigana, and Florence can be reached in less than a 2 hour drive. It is only about 50m to the sea. Multiple sport activities nearby.

A perfect family holiday home

I refer to our stay at Casa Tiziana in Lanciaia from the 4-11th of September 2008. We would like to congratulate you for the wonderful farmhouse and its surroundings. The stay was very enjoyable. The farmhouse is kept very clean and organised. The kitchen is well equipped even though we missed having a toaster, a kettle or a teapot.

The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious and storage space was ample. Bathrooms are spacious, modern and kept very clean.

Our only 'disappointment' was the television because after 8.00 pm we could not see any programs on the Italian channels as these were blocked!

Overall the stay was very enjoyable and we have recommended Casa Tiziana to friends and relatives. In fact a couple of friends of ours have booked the farmhouse for the month of April during the Easter period.

..mitten in der Natur und mit atemberaubender Aussicht und trotzdem zentral genug,um viele der reizvollen Sehenswürdigkeiten dieses wundervollen Teiles der Erde gut zu erreichen....

Wir haben mit unserem Hund wunderschöne Herbsttage in diesem gepflegten,sauberen und gemütlichen Ferienhaus verbracht und können uns den possitiven Beurteilungen nur anschließen.
Wir werden gerne wiederkommen.

PS:
Die Zufahrt ist wirklich recht abenteuerlich,deshalb die vorherigen Tipps bezügl.tiefergelegter Autos ernst nehmen! :-))

Urlaub für die Seele

Wir haben in der Zeit vom 29.05.2009 bis zum 13.06.2009 zusammen mit unserem Hund einen wunderschönen Urlaub in der Casa Tiziana verbracht, uns alle dort sehr wohl gefühlt und bestens erholt. Die positiven Bewertungen und Eindrücke der anderen Gästen können wir in vollem Umfang bestätigen. Am Rande eines grossen Naturschutzgebietes und am Fusse der Rocca Scilliana, zwischen Oliven- und Walnussbaeumen liegt das gemütliche, im toskanischen Stil geschmackvoll eingerichtete und geräumige Ferienhaus. Das nahe gelegene, fussläufig zu erreichende kleine Oertchen San Dalmazio bietet zwei kleine Restaurants,in den sich gut und guenstig speisen laesst. In Pomerance, ca. 1/2 Autostunde entfernt, findet man alles für die Grundversorgung.

Das Fehlen des Pools hat uns nicht gestört, wir hatten unsere exklusive Naturschwimmstelle in der Pavone (vielen Dank an Cristina für diesen Tip). Im Übrigen ist das Meer ja auch nur 1 Stunde entfernt.

Ganz liebe Gruesse an dieser Stelle auch von unserem Spy an Tiziana, Ilio, seinen kleinen Begleiter und an Cristina. An Ilio: wir geniessen jeden Tag deine "medicina".

Und den Tipp mit dem möglichst nicht tiefergelegten Auto, den guten Reifen und Stossdaempfern sollte man ernst nehmen !!. Aber wir kommen wieder !!

Erholsamer Urlaub in der Natur

Das Haus liegt abgelegen von der Straße und somit absolut ruhig am Rande eines Olivenhaines. Es ist sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Vor dem Haus gibt es einen Essplatz unter zwei Nussbäumen sowie einen großen Grill. Wir verlebten wunderschöne und erholsame 14 Tage und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

San Dalmazio liegt sehr zentral, Volterra und San Gimignano sind innerhalb von 45 Minuten zu erreichen. Nach Florenz und ans Meer braucht man ca. 1 Stunde, nach Pisa etwa 1,5 Stunden. Also optimal für einen Urlaub, bei dem sich Kultur und Erholung die Waage halten sollen.

Der in einer anderen Bewertung erwähnte Swimming-Pool gehört exklusiv zum Haupthaus La Casina. Da dieses nicht vermietet war, hatten wir das Glück, den Pool gegen Aufpreis nutzen zu dürfen. Vom Pool aus hat man einen großartigen Panoramablick auf die Umliegenden Orte wie Pomerance und Volterra. Jedoch kann man auch ohne den Pool die Sonne auf Liegen zwischen den Olivenbäumen genießen.

Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist in der Tat sehr abenteuerlich und man ist gut beraten, sie nicht mit einem tiefergelegten Auto zu befahren :-).

Das im Ort befindliche Restaurant "La Rocca" ist sehr zu empfehlen. Man bekommt dort absolut preiwert sehr gute toskanische "Hausfrauenkost" und Pizza.

... den Alltagsstress schnell vergessen ...

... wem das in der Casa Tiziana nicht gelingt, muss wohl in die Wueste fahren ;-)

Mitten in der Natur, abgelegen zwischen Oliven- und Walnussbaeumen, wo sich spät abends die Rehe und Hasen "Gute Nacht" sagen, haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Trotz der ruhigen und abgeschiedenen Lage kann man wichtige Kulturhighlights der Toscana in einem Tagesausflug gut erreichen: Volterra, Pisa, Lucca, Florenz, Siena ...

Das nahe gelegene kleine Oertchen San Dalmazio ist ein Schmuckstueck urspruenglicher toscanischer Dorfarchitektur. Bei Stefano, Inhaber eines kleinen Restaurants, in dem sich gut und guenstig speisen laesst, gibt es Brot für das taegliche Fruehstueck und ein paar Kilometer weiter in Pomerance einen Supermarkt mit einer grossen Auswahl an allem, was man als Selbstversorger braucht. Die Einheimischen begegnen Touristen freundlich und hilfsbereit!

Ein Tipp: ein Auto mit guten Reifen und Stossdaempfern ist fuer die steil abfallende Schotter-Zufahrt zu empfehlen.
