Photos and Description of this Hvar holiday villa

The property, a 30 year old private holiday house, was recently completely refurbished and refurnished. It is equipped with everything necessary to provide a comfortable stay for up to 4 people regardless the season. The accommodation is arranged as a single living area on one floor. It comprises a living area with a fully equipped kitchen. There is one good sized fully furnished bedroom with a twin bed and a bathroom with a toilet, a wash basin and a shower. The sofa in the living room transforms in a comfortable twin bed for two persons (150 cm wide). There is a balcony in front of the house with a garden set. A royal covered veranda behind the house overlooks a large garden with pine and olive trees, lavender, rosemary and heather. The whole villa resort is nested among the sea, pine woods and vineyards. The beach is only 80 meters away.

The area where villa is located can be easily reached with German Wings, LTU Airlines and Hapag-Lloyd Express from Cologne-Bonn and Dusseldorf. Please see more on this below under Further Details. The island Hvar is one of the most beautiful islands in the south of Dalmatia. With 2700 hours per year it is the island with the most sun in middle Europe. In May 1997 Hvar was listed in the American travel guide Journal Traveler as one of the 10 most beautiful islands of the world (among Anguilla, Bali, Bora Bora, Capri...). The climate on Hvar is characterized by warm and dry summers and mild winters. Rich with pine tree forests and Mediterranean plants such as lavender and rosemary, freshen with summer winds, the island Hvar is even in the hottest summer days a rare spot in Dalmatia with fresh air and pleasant nights. Because of its position the island is a perfect starting place for trips.

Very convenient and affordable in low season: For guests from Germany the most convenient and price effective way is with one of above mentioned airlines from Colon-Bonn or Dusseldorf airport to Split or Rijeka. Please contact the owner for full details on this travel arrangement. Moreover, with daily flights to Split (via Zagreb) between London, Amsterdam, Dusseldorf and several direct flights to Split (Dusseldorf, Amsterdam) it is also convenient to get to the island of Hvar also outside the main season. Typically the flight from Amsterdam to Split takes a little bit more than 2 hours and with connecting ferries it takes additional 2 hours to get on the island. For this reason many people enjoy pre- (April, May) and post-season (September, October) which are generally not crowded with tourists and benefit fully from the unique mild Mediterranean climate.

Wir sind zu viert dort gewesen und wir haben uns pudelwohl gefühlt. Die Einrichtung ist sehr modern und geschmackvoll und fast wie zu Hause (IKEA). Das besondere Highlight sind die zwei Terassen. Man hat wie gewünscht Sonne oder eben nicht. Hier und da, haben uns ein paar Kleinigkeiten in der Küche gefehlt, wie z.B. Eierbecher, und Kaffeepötte. Wir haben im Supermarkt welche gekauft, die uns heute immer noch an die schönen Tage auf dieser Insel erinnern. Parken ist ein wenig blöd, da man, wenn man tagsüber wegfahren will, immer die Badegäste von der eigentlich sonst verkehrsberuhigten Straße am Strand entlang scheuchen muss. Wir sind häufig zu einem Strand Richtung Jelsa gefahren. Wenn es nicht so eine schrecklich lange Reise wäre, würden wir wieder hin fahren.

Inmitten von Olivenbäumen situiert

- Die Villa Oliva wurde mit viel Liebe und Geschmack 2005 renoviert und eingerichtet
- Die Vemieter der Villa Oliva geben perfekt Auskunft, die nicht umsonst ihren Namen trägt, da sie inmitten von alten Olivenbäumen situiert ist
- Der Vermieter samt Familie ist sehr nett und hilfbereit. Wir hatten sogar das Glück parallel zur Familie dort zu sein
- Die Sauberkeit war größtenteils in Ordnung
- Aktivitäten: Ein paar Ausflüge kann man auf jeden Fall machen; man beachte: es gibt wenige (asphaltierte) Straßen und die Zugänge zu vielen Badebuchten sind besser oder nur per Boot
- Parkplatz: Schwer, am besten bei Villa Boric und von der Agentur eine Durchfahrtskarte für die Promenade besorgen, sodass man die Badegäste bei der Durchfahrt ggf. aufscheuchen muss
- Weiterempfehlung jaaaaa: Super Lage fast am Strand,
Wohlfühlgarantie aber auch in der Villa selbst (Terasse, Sonnendeck und Balkon mit einem Traum von Sonnenuntergang),
ganz kleiner Spaziergang nach Stari Grad in die Ortsmitte ist Abends entlang der Promenade wunderschön,
guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge auf der Insel Hvar,
naher Supermarkt mit nettem Inhaber,
Restaurant Antika und Jruin Podrum in Stari Grad in den verworrenen Gassen dort... überigens ein Traum von einem Örtchen...
