The villa location is at Pereiras just outside of Almancil, about ten minutes drive from Vilamoura, about 5km from the nearest beaches, and 15 - 20 minutes drive from Faro Airport. Outside the villa, roads are mostly quiet and can provide good walks around the locality of villas and quintas, to local shops and restaurants. It is only a 15 – 20 minute walk into the town of Almancil, with some shops, restaurants and cafe's closer. From Almancil there are public bus and rail services to other destinations. Nearest beach is within 5 km and there are many fine beaches in the Algarve within10 to 15 minutes drive, as well as two major water parks, and some of the best golf courses in the Algarve at Vale do Lobo, Quinta, and Vilamoura.

  • Notes on Rental Rates:
    200 Euros Damage Deposit with payment of balance, refundable to client within 21-days of leaving subject to a satisfactory condition report from Manager.

    Payment only accepted in Euros (€) or GBP (£) based on current exchange rates for prices quoted in Euros. Please request price confirmation in chosen currency when making enquiry to Owner.
    Price Includes:
    Household heating and firewood included in price during October - April (except for long lets at negotiated rental rates).
    All household linen, bedding and towels provided, except for beach/pool use.
    Discounts and Offers:
    Discounted rates for Winter lets of longer than 21 days. Please request further details if interested in long rentals. Short stays available in low season. Offers - Please call / email for details of late bookings, special discounts and spa packages.
  • Changeover Day: Preferred changeover days Saturday and Sunday, with entry after 2pm and exit by 10am. Short breaks including weekday arrival / departure available during low / mid season (October to April), and may be available at other times depending on period and availability - please enquire.
    Our maid attends twice a week to clean and / or change towels and / or bedding. Bedding is normally changed once every 7-days, and towels changed twice within a 7-day period. Additional changes may be possible, but there may be an additional laundry charge. If you expect to require more frequent changes of towels or bedding or prefer more frequent maid service, please enquire regarding additonal rates and charges.
  • Booking Notes: Dates can be reserved while you confirm your flights, etc. 20% non-refundable deposit required to confirm booking. Balance due 8 weeks before arrival. Deposits and full booking fee are non-refundable. Failure to make full payment on-time will result in loss of your booking and all deposits paid. Damage / breakage deposit of 200 Euros required with final payment, returnable within 21-days of departure from villa, subject to a satisfactory condition report from our local Manager.

  • Spacious shower room with toilet and washbasins and wheel-in / walk-in shower area. Toilet and shower seats are approx. 480 mm height. Hand rails in toilet and shower area. Padded shower-seat with armrests folds down from wall. Toilet fitted with soft-feel toilet seat for additional comfort and safety. Large washbasin with approx. 700mm clearance underneath for knee-space for wheelchair users, and additional small hand-rinse basin alongside toilet at low level, for use by person seated on toilet; which can also be a good height for children and adults of smaller stature. Thermostatic temperature controlled mixer taps with safety stops and manual over-ride button are fitted in bathroom and kitchen for safety of children and disabled people when washing or showering. Heated electric towel rail in shower room (portable), and portable clothes airer in garage. Outdoor cold shower accessed by ramp with small step down into shower, may be difficult for some people with mobility impairments.

  • 1 Bedroom with a double bed and 1 with two singles. Beds are approx. 500mm – 600mm height to top of mattress toppers. Mattresses are quite firm, but have addition of a mattress topper of approx. 90mm depth to improve comfort; which can be removed during stay if not required. Bedrooms can provide for at least 1200mm - 1400mm clearance on at least one side, and approx. 650mm and 750mm clearance past bottom of double bed and single beds respectively. The Mezzanine floor overlooking the lounge area also has 2 single beds with folding legs, allowing them to be stacked, so as to provide additional bed space for either one or two people. This space is not recommended for young children or really tall people as it has a sloping ceiling and is accessed by a spiral stair, which has a safety gate at the top.

Golf, Beaches, Activities, Shops and Architecture: The property is less than 15 mins drive from some of the best golf courses in the Algarve. These include Vale do Lobo, Quinta and Vilamoura. Further courses are within 30 mins driving. Some of the finest beaches in the Algarve are just a mere ten minutes drive away, as are two major water parks. The villa is located within the 'Golden Triangle' with access to the best that the Algarve has to offer no more than a 15 min drive away. The very popular Almancil Karting Centre is little over a kilometre away, providing entertainment for all ages, including some parakarts with hand-controls. Faro is an old walled city with a complex of narrow cobbled streets, beautiful squares and magnificent buildings, Cathedral and museum, as well as a pedestrianised area with stylish shops and numerous outdoor restaurants outside the city walls, and only 15 mins drive to the east. Attractions to the west include Zoomarine dolphin park and Algarve Forum Shopping Complex within approx 20-25 mins drive.

Getting to Villa and Local Amenities: We provide a complementary 'Meet and Greet' escort service to lead you to the villa from Faro Airport, at no cost to you. Casa Julia is just a 15-20 minute drive from Faro airport. Car hire is essential and can be arranged, including some cars with hand-controls: current rates available on request. It is only a 15 - 20 minute walk into the town of Almancil. However, some shops, restaurants and cafes, etc., are closer. From Almancil there are public bus and rail transport service to other destinations. Immediately outside the villa, roads are mostly quiet and can provide good walks around the locality of villas and quintas, and to local shops and restaurants. Latest road improvements in the Loulé, Almancil and Quarteira area make it easier than ever to get around. The picturesque market village of Loule is only 10 mins by car to the north. To the south are the beaches and resort areas of Quarteira and Vilamoura. The local area offers a wealth of good restaurants and entertainment.

Accessibility: The villa has been recently renovated to create purpose-designed accommodation for wheelchair users. There is a ramp from the front of the house to the garden and villa entrance for ease of access. All rooms are on ground level with door and corridor widths that are wide enough to accommodate most wheelchair users, with clearance between door and frame of at least 800mm. The spacious bathroom has a wheel-in shower area with grab bars and fold-down seat, and WC with wall-mounted and drop-down rail. Beds provide clearance for mobile person hoists. Hoists and other mobility aids, medical aids or equipment, and personal assistance can be arranged - quotations available on request. Car hire is strongly advised and can be arranged, or make your own arrangements. We have special arrangements with a local supplier who can provide automatic vehicles with/without hand controls and air conditioning at competitive rates. Our manager can meet you at the Faro Airport Car Hire Counter as required.
