This new pretty villa, surrounded by secular olive plants, rebuilt on an ancient tavern is totally exposed to the sun with a panoramic view on hills, Portofino's promontory and a little piece of sea. Located on a 300 m. high hill has a great fenced garden (600 sqm) with olives, roses, gardenias, fruit plants and many kinds of flowers. You find calm and peace all around. You can reach the house walking 80 m. long a smooth large path from the place you'll park your car. Easy parking but not private parking place. The house is on two levels: ground floor: two bedrooms, one with a great double bed and independent security outside door, the other, smaller, twin-bedded. Two bathrooms: the greater one, with shower-sauna Teuco. The smaller one is with a simple shower. On the first floor: an open space room with American kitchen, double sofa bed, open itself under a pergola covered by old wood-beam.

The house is in Verzemma, a district of Recco, which is a nice little town near Genoa (20 km by the seaside Roman road Aurelia and 5 min. by highway, whose exit or entrance is 4 km far from the property.). You can reach Portofino in a few minutes, and the same for S. Margherita, Rapallo and Chiavari. One hour to arrive at Cinque Terre, one hour and a half to Firenze. Two hours to Chianti. Recco has lots of shops and is the motherland of cheese focaccia. A bus line departs from Recco to Genoa every 30 minutes. A little bus brings you up and down from Recco to the property 4 times a day. In Recco there is also a railway station for all destinations. Recco is known as Liguria's gastronomic capital, and its more than thirty restaurants are already a good tourist attraction, but not the only one. Moreover the fireworks, the entertainments, the village festivals, Recco offer beaches and cliffs, a walk by the sea with smart bars and special ice-creams, an Olympic swimming-pool with sea water.

Villa Il nido is located up an hill 300 m high in a country site. Its address: Via Verzemma 56- Recco. To reach it follow these indications:Higway exit RECCO. Once out of it you will find a descending road about 600 m. long, at the end of which you will pass on a short bridge, and arrived to the main road, Via Roma, turn left. Go stright on about 800 meters. When you will see the high bridge of the highway you have just left, drive slowly, because 10 m. before it, you will see on your left a road signal to Verzemma. Turn left passing again on a short bridge. Now you have in front of you a narrow, in some its tracts, but well asphalted rising road. 600 meters, and you will meet a road cross with a signal to Verzemma. Turn rigth in a quite U turne curve. Now stright on about 2 Km. rising till the end of the asphalted road where you'll see an enlargment where the little line bus from Recco must turn to go back down. That's our meeting point and parking place.Now 80 m. walking path.

Ski: In Rapallo 10 km. far from Recco, boat rental and sport fishing.

Good property with attentive owner

We enjoyed a lovely week at Villa Il Nido in August 2008. The property is charming, within a garden on several levels with shaded areas, and pool. Great for our kids aged 11 and 14. Owner very attentive and friendly, and willing to help with days out and suggestions. Surrounding area is beautiful, with villages such as Camgoli, Rapello and, of course, Portofino. A lovely experience of Italian living. Thank you.

Ligurien, authentisch

Typisches Ligurisches Haus, geschmackvoll und authentisch eingerichtet mit liebevollen Details. Sehr schöner gepflegter Garten in typischer Terassenanlage mit Olivenbäumen, Rosen etc. Sehr romantisches Domizil. Das Grundstück ist riesig und man hat hier wirklich seine Ruhe. Das Vermieter-Ehepaar hat uns herzlich betreut und rührend versorgt - sehr netter Kontakt.
Die Strasse ist - wie in dieser Gegend oft - eng aber geteert und es besteht gute Busverbindung nach Recco.
Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen.

Romantische Villa Nido

Wir fanden Villa Il Nido ganz toll: wildromantisch, italienisches Flair, ausgesuchte, zT. antike Möbelstücke, liebevolle Gartengestaltung, Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen unter einer Pergola, oder wenn es regnen sollte, auf der überdachten Terrasse ...und ein eigener Swimmingpool! Das war Urlaub pur, auch für unseren Hund , der nach Lust und Liebe bellen und herumtollen konnte, ohne Angst, er könnte jemanden stören!!!
Einziger Nachteil: die Anfahrt vom Ort Recco ist ein wenig mühsam, dafür lohnt aber Ruhe und tolle Aussicht!

Ligurische Perle auf Sonnenhügel über dem Land

Unsere supernetten und lieben Vermieter vermittelten uns durch mail und sms, in dem niedlichen "Il Nido" schon bereits vor der Ankunft herzlich willkommen zu sein. Das im typisch ligurischem Stil bemalte Haus liegt wunderbar auf dem Sonnenhügel mit weitem Blick über das Land. Sonne von morgens bis abends. Die sehr gute und reichhaltige Ausstattung und die typische Aufteilung mit dem großen Raum oben zum Kochen (super mit Gas!) und Leben, und unten die 2 Schlafräume mit schönem Bad und Gäste WC, lassen den Urlaub zu einem italienischen Erlebnis werden. Aussenanlagen mit den herrlichen Terrassen laden zum draußen Sitzen und Sonnenbaden ein. Der große Pool war im März noch zu kühl, aber im Sommer sicher eine erfrischende Abwechslung.
Recco ist ein typisch ligurischer Badeort mit vielen guten Restaurants. Dort muss man sich z. B. die Focaccia al Formaggio, die ligurischen Pasteten und Farinatas schmecken lassen. Ein typisches Restaurant haben uns italienische Bekannte in Sori gezeigt: Das Restaurant Edo. Schwer zu finden, bitte dort erfragen.
Die gesamte ligurische Gegend ist allemal eine Reise wert
(Genua, die Cique Terre, Camogli usw.) aber mit Il Nido wird es erst richtig gemütlich ligurisch mit Heimateffekt!.
Uns hat es super gefallen!
Wir kommen wieder!

Wir haben uns prächtig erholt in Recco. Für Familien, die etwas flexibel sind und vor allem ihre Ruhe haben wollen, ist das Haus ideal. - Unsere Kinder haben geweint, als der Urlaub zu Ende war und sie 'ihr kleines Paradies' haben verlassen müssen. Turisten gibt es kaum in Recco, auch während der Hauptsaison nicht. Die Betreuung durch den Besitzer ist hervorragend. So freuen wir uns denn auch schon jetzt, unseren Urlaub auch in diesem Jahr in der villa il nido zu verbringen.
