Radicondoli:
The ancient castellated village of Radicondoliis is situated in a most spectacular position. It has magnificent uninterrupted views over the surrounding hills. At night you can see the lights of Volterra, San Gimignano, Colle Val D'Elsa and many other villages nestling in the hills all around you. Florence is one hour away and Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano just forty minutes by road. Lovely local walks and natural pools in the nearby river Cecina. There are swimming pools within easy reach and in an hour you can drive to and enjoy sandy beaches just like the ancient Etruscan people did. Nearby there are three bars, three restaurants, bank, doctor, post office, tennis.Your hosts Emanuela and Marco look forward to welcoming you to their home. They will also give you every assistance to help you discover and understand the opportunities offered by the surrounding countryside and tourist attractions.
The 'Agrturismo':
Podere La Fonte is a working farm as well as tourist residence (“Podere” is Italian for farm). The main products are olives and grapes which are grown organically and made into wine and olive oil on the farm. The wine and oil may be purchased from the farm shop and is both delicious and good value. Emmanuela also creates herbal tea infusions and a number of jams from the fruit trees on the farm.
At Podere la Fonte you can choose to take all the accommodation on offer for a larger group. Although there are no cooking facilities we happy to provide meals (why not take the chance to be served genuine good food made from local produce, lots of it produced by your hosts on the farm? You will not regret your choice and will be able to enjoy the farm's spacious eating settings).
The accommodation is very comfortable and well equipped, meaning that self catering is no problem at all.
