Immersed in the traditional Tuscan countryside, the tourist farm “Fattoria La Prugnola” with its apartments and cottages offers a quiet and relaxing holiday amidst woods and olive groves, with a breathtaking view of the sea and the Tuscan archipelago. Situated along the “wine road” of the “Costa degli Etruschi”, the farm is about 10 km from the sea, within easy reach of the famous beaches of this coastline, and it is an excellent point of departure for interesting sightseeing tours of historical Tuscany (Arezzo, Siena, Firenze, Lucca, Volterra, Pisa, San Giminiano etc). In the farm there is a private parking. Near the Fattoria La Prugnola there is a typical restaurant with a Tuscan menu which serves Montescudaio DOC wine, and our Extra Vergin Olive Oil. There is also a little camping, in case you have some friends want to visit you with a tent.

La Vinsantaia is a nice little independent apartment. It has one room in yellow and blue with a double bed, the little kitchenette, the wood stove and the bathroom. Outside it has a gazebo with table and chairs. It is possible to rent the unit together with I Colombi. So more people can stay together but can have their own privacy.

Montescudaio, whose name comes from the latin words Mons Scutarius, is situated in a wonderful position on the first coastal hills beyond Cecina and offers a beautiful sight of the plain below and the sea. With its mild climate and the tasty products of its ground, these places are the favourite destination of a more and more increasing number of visitors. On the farm house “Fattoria la Prugnola” you’ll enjoy all the pleasures of nature and the top comfort of staying in a house that has been recently restored in perfect tuscan style. In this oasis of peace your children will be able to run about freely, discovering plants and animals they have often only seen in television, and while they get to know and love nature you’ll be able to relax, watching the sunset and tasting a good glass of wine. From Montescudaio one can easily reach all the main tourist resorts of Tuscany, including the wonderful Elba isle, from which the famous “Strada del Vino – Costa degli Etruschi” begins.

Very romantic, quiet, beautiful view

We stayed there for 2 weeks, it was absolutely beautiful. Don't expect any luxury of course, but the cottage is very charming and has everything you need. The only thing is that there was not enough hot water for 2 people to have a proper shower, so every morning we had to flip a coin who could go first.
Other than that, great accomodation and I would recommend it to anyone.

Sehr missverständliche Angaben im Online-Inserat. Gemäss Ausstattungsbeschrieb haben wir einen Wohnraum und ein Schlafzimmer erwartet und nicht nur ein Raum.
Ruhige Lage des Feriendomizils mit vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in guter Distanz haben wir geschätzt.
Wir würden das Feriendomizil weiterempfehlen, vorausgesetzt, dass die Ausstattungsangaben überarbeitet werden und mehr Klarheit geben.
