Gokseki Village is 6 kilometres from Kas Town. A regular Dolmus service stops just near the house. The village has a Mosque in the square and two shops selling a mixture of everyday items including a good supply of cheap bottled water. Set in the foothills of the mountains the temperature is a few degrees cooler than the town. Kas town has a vibrant market on Friday and a good range of shops including handicrafts and antiques, restaurants and banks. There are two supermarkets and a picturesque harbour with bars and swimming platforms. There are two beaches, a small pebble beach and a large pebble beach. The town has a lively cosmopolitan atmosphere. Sporting activities can be accessed from a number of operators in the town, which is renowned for its scuba diving. There are boat trips available to the Greek island of Meis, the blue cave and the sunken city of Kekova. Built on the site of Antiphellos, there is an amphitheatre, a 5th century BC Lycian Sarcophagus.
