| Notes: | The house is flexible to engender peace and romance for couples or as often used, a central point for gathering families who can be accommodated should they wish to partake in a joyous reunion. Wide doors allow wheelchair access to the ground floor, main bathroom facilities are on the first floor. Our family 'home from home' welcomes all to share the beautiful setting of sun-trap gardens, wooded blue bell glade and country walks a skip away from central tourist attractions. |
Cullinary delights
The area is peppered with excellent mouth-watering restaurants within walking distance from traditional local pub lunches to French, Indian, Spanish and the like. A taste of the orient can be sought from the Thai eating houses, many canal side restaurants are within a 15 minute drive, nothing is too far away nor too much trouble to arrange. Good food, good wine and reliable taxis are close at hand.
Places of interest
Eccleshall is a 2 minute walk away and entrenched in history with its own castle and numerous churches. Cobbled paths lead to antique shops, boutiques, art and craft shops. Shugborough Hall, Cannock Chase is but a drive away, in the other direction many theatres and the famous potteries of Stokeshire are near. Stone, Shropshire, Stafford, Derbyshire and the notable Peak District so favoured by guests are only a drive away. Alton Towers, the American theme park is a popular place of interest as is Chatsworth House, the hills and dales of Buxton and Matlock. Golf and ski resorts are available.
Transportation
There is a bus service to local towns, all with train stations to major cities of interest. 3 airports are but 40 minutes away, these being Manchester, Birmingham and East Midlands. For a sleepy scene the canal and boat hire are a short distance by car. We would be happy to make arrangements for any transportation requirements.
