The sitting room is a place of repose equipped with ample comfortable seating. Time can be spent listening to French life as it passes outside the window, reading a short story or perhaps a late night DVD from the collection or cable TV. The bedroom is a peaceful retreat with its warm tones and calm photographs. The bed is surely the centre piece of this room and once you are installed, it will be very hard to resist the temptation to linger in bed. The sheers on the window sway if there is a slight breeze and allow for some privacy while letting the natural light in. You will have no shortage of space to store your belongings as we have large built-in wardrobes on either side of the bed. The small bureau near the window is a good place to scribble a few postcards. The Moroccan sitting area just next to the American style kitchen is a comfortable spot to enjoy a glass of wine, listen to a CD or maybe chat as you prepare your meal from the excellent local products.

The apartment is located in “residential Paris” on Rue Marcadet. Square Carpeaux is literally next door and invites you to relax and read a book or just bask in the Paris Sunshine. The quiet surroundings of Marcadet are inviting after a day’s sightseeing. Perhaps you might decide to get off the 95 bus at Damremont and make your way back to the apartment stopping in the small local shops to pick up a few items for dinner. There may also be time for a cup of tea or an espresso and a pastry in one of the local coffee shops. The surrounding area is home to some very good restaurants which are definitely worth a visit.

Apartment Location: You have easy access to two metro lines (12 and 13) that can take you throughout the city with ease. The 95 bus line alone, with a bus stop just up the street from the apartment, runs by the Grand Magasins (Paris’ famous department stores), Opera, the Louvre, and all the way through St. Germain to Montparnasse. The area is full of outdoor markets, boulangeries and much more. Rue Damremont which runs perpendicular to Marcadet is a great place for shopping for food with all sorts of specialty stores. If travelling with kids or for your own relaxation, visit square Carpeaux where you can find a children's playground as well as benches for you to rest your wary legs.

...was made easier by staying at Merveille de Montmartre. My family and I (two adults, our 5 years old daughter, our 1 year old son) thoroughly enjoyed both the atmosphere of the 18th arrondissement and the lovely apartment provided by Yetunde and Joseph. Joseph was particularly helpful in arranging our very last minute reservation and extremely gracious when he welcomed us upon our arrival in Paris. He gave us a useful guide about the apartment, the surrounding area and Parisian life in general: we found it to be a very clear and rich source of information. We liked everything about the apartment; the computer with an excellent Internet connection, the DVD player, the possibility to call for free our families in Italy were unexpected benefits that we immensely enjoyed.

This was for my wife and me our second visit to Paris, but the first with our children. We can now say that an apartment is certainly the ideal accommodation when you plan to stay a week or longer in Paris. We had our stroller with us, which was sometimes a challenge - especially at the gates of the subway and in the very small elevator taking to the third floor apartment - but we learnt pretty quickly how to deal with this small inconvenience.

The customer service provided by Yetunde and Joseph is excellent and the apartment was exactly as described on their website. We will undoubtedly contact them again for our next visit to Paris. We stayed there at the beginning of March and are still treasuring many nice memories of our vacation with Feels Like Home in Paris.

We loved the apartment and the area of Monmartre. very well placed for metro and very french local shops. The Apartment is lovely, very clean and comfortable, we would definately recommend it and are sorry we did'nt have more time there.
