Photos and Description of this South Coast Sri Lanka holiday villa

Sinaya, which means Dream in Sinhalese, is the ideal place for your dream Sri Lankan beach vacation. This modern but characteristic two-storey beachfront villa has two upstairs bedrooms (each with a double bed) that open onto a covered balcony that overlooks the ocean. Downstairs are another two rooms (each with a day bed that converts to a double bed) that can be used as living spaces or bedrooms. These rooms open out to a sea-view terrace and small garden, from which you can step straight out onto the sand and into the sea. The terrace has covered and open areas, giving you the option of sunbathing or enjoying the view from the shade. A large living space, combining kitchen, dining and living areas, is a great area for the family to gather or to entertain. There are two bathrooms, each with shower (only one with hot water) and toilet. The house has tiled floors and high, timber-lined ceilings. Ceiling fans and constant sea breezes keep it cool.

Nearest Airport: Colombo at 100 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Hikkaduwa at 2 Kilometres
Car: not necessary
Sinaya is located in a fishing village on the southern end of the resort area of Hikkaduwa, an easy walk along the beach to Hikkaduwa's restaurants and bars but a comfortable distance away from the nightlife noise. From the balcony or terrace watch the fishing boats come in and stroll down to the harbour (about 250 metres away) to sample their daily catch. Visit the local Buddhist temple or take a boat tour of the nearby lagoon to watch the widlife. The village has a small number of shops for buying daily necessities. Hikkaduwa village, the historic town of Galle and the popular resort area of Unawatuna are all in easy travelling distance by tuk-tuk.
