Beautiful ancient fortress dating back to the 12th century strategically situated against the splendid setting of the Apuan Alps. The property is in the old village Monteggiori, about 200 m above sea-level and enjoys magnificient views over the Versilia coastline. The estate (250 m2) is made of a main building, the fortress, and of a beautiful tower, both skilfully and tastefully restored and it is surrounded by a large terraced garden (500 m2). The property is located in a peaceful position but at the same time it is only a few metres from the village Monteggiori, where there is a good restaurant. The fortress as well as the village of Monteggiori can be reached only by means of pedestrian lanes (a private parking available for the guests staying at the villa is 100 m away). In order to carry luggage from the car park to the house, guests can use a small tracked vehicle. At guests' disposal: private, equipped garden, private swimming pool (8 x 4 m - maximum 1.20 m deep) and barbecue. Domestic help (12 Euros/hour) is available on request. The whole house, belonging to two photographers, offers every modern comfort, even though it preserves its ancient fascination.
