Small independent house situated in a panoramic position, surrounded by vineyards, olive grove and chestnut woods. The area has many ruins from the Etruscan period and it is only 40 km from the sea. Ideal for people looking for relaxation, tranquillity, but also the opportunity to spend a day at the seaside. Some of the outdoor area are fenced, among those a large area 16 x 20 m with furniture, a loggia with wood burning oven. There is a large brick porch to use for dining outside with the view on the swimming pool and the valley. Cosy, simple farm "Le Pergole" 1.5 km from the centre of Volterra, in a quiet, sunny position. Private: swimming pool (6 x 12 m, 02.05.-26.09.), table tennis, garden furniture, barbecue. Linen change weekly (suppl. charge extra). (200 m via unmade road). Parking in the grounds. Shop 1.5 km, restaurant 1.5 km, bus stop 1 km, railway station 10 km, sandy beach 40 km, tennis 3 km, riding stables 10 km. 530 m. >>Important, historical, quiet resort with 11'200 inhabitants, in the western part of the region 40 km from the sea, on top of a hill, south facing position with beautiful view, 48 km north-west from Siena, 65 km south-east from Pisa, 75 km south-west from Firenze. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Access: exit number "Firenze-Siena". Then road SS68 Colle Valdelsa. Access via a winding road. San Gimignano 20 km. For arrivals by plane: airport Pisa (PSA), Firenze Pereto (FLR). Situated in an elevated panoramic position over the hilly Valle di Cecina countryside, Volterra has a marvellous Old Town with evidence from several bygone eras. It was one of the Etruscan capitals, even retaining part of the old wall. The Guarnacci museum has one of the best collections of Etruscan artwork. Volterra is also well-known for the processing of alabaster. 5-room house 110 m2 on 2 levels, on the ground floor, simple and cosy furnishings: living room with 1 sofa bed, exit to the garden. Lounge with open fireplace and TV. Kitchen (4 hotplates, oven, freezer). Shower/bidet/WC. Upper floor: 1 small room with 1 bed and shower/bidet/WC. 2 double bedrooms. Panoramic view of the valley.
