A wonderfully situated town house in Competa

I have spent two holidays at Casa Leth -- in the heat of midsummer and the cool of Christmas-time; the first being a quiet walking holiday and the second, a family Christmas. Two very different holidays then -- but Casa Leth was well suited to them both.
The description on this website is perfectly accurate, but it doesn't quite do the house justice. It is a delightful place to stay, in all seasons. In July, I found the views from the roof terrace absolutely stunning, especially in the morning and at sunset -- but in the hottest part of the day (Siesta time!), its also nice to be able to escape to the relatively cool, traditionally Spanish living room on the ground floor.
A few minutes walk away, there is a picturesque viewpoint by the side of the road which skirts around the top of Cómpeta, overlooking the town and the surrounding landscape -- and from there, a few more minutes further you're on the threshold of the breathtakingly beautiful Sierra Tedeja and Sierra Almijara Natural Park.
Back at the house, the spacious and well-equipped kitchen is a pleasure to use -- I cooked Christmas Dinner for 8, without much difficulty (although I did get some vital help from my niece, Rebecca, aged 3). Dinner was served in the artists' studio / dining room on the third floor -- the perfect setting for a dinner party in the wintertime, although on a Summer's evening, I might have set the table on the roof-terrace!
For me, Casa Leth was perfectly situated in Cómpeta -- a short walk from the central square, shops and Restaurants, but also within easy walking distance of the Natural Park. Altogether, excellent value for money -- and very strongly recommended.
