Nearest beaches less than 5 minutes drive. This area of Costa Brava shows up for its spectacular coastline that it matches with wide sandy and small rocky beaches.
Travel:
The nearest airports are Girona (40 km), Barcelona (90 km) and Perpignan (90 km), all of which served by low cost airlines. A car is essential to appreciate this area.

Practically all sorts of sport and water sports are possible in this area of the Costa Brava. The coast is ideal for diving and snorkelling. Golf and tennis, riding, hiking and cycling, as well as an extensive offer for children and teenagers supplement the beach offer.
Las Islas Medas offers some of the best diving in Spain. Regular excursions depart from L'Estartit, 20 minutes drive away. There are numerous local diving clubs and schools. They offer courses, local dives along the coast or excursions to Las Islas Medas.
Only a few kilometres inland you will find lively villages with impressive medieval architecture with massive watch towers, town walls and castles: Pals, Peratallada, Palau-Satur, Begur and a huge wealth of early Romantic churches and cloisters. Catalonia is culturally very wealthy. The Dali museum and Girona, with one of the most beautiful old town centres and catedrals in Spain, are not far from Pals. Barcelona and the Pyrenees are also within easy reach.
Golf:
There are several golf courses within a short drive offering challenging sport for both experienced and high handicap players. Catalonia is fast becoming the 'thinking' golfers destination. The most near golf courses are Pals Golf Course, Serres de Pals Golf Course and Emporda Golf.
