The property was completed in July 2007 and offers luxury air-conditioned accommodation for four people although there is also a double sofa bed in the lounge if required. The apartment is situated on the ground floor and is pool facing. It comprises two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen and a lounge. The balcony overlooks the communal pool and well maintained grounds. There is underground car parking for your use. The apartment is a five minute drive from the beautiful Duquesa Port, 15 mins from GIbraltar airport and 50 mins from Malaga airport.

Puerto de la Duquesa is the Costa del Sol's best-kept secret. Although within easy reach of the airports; Malaga (50 minutes) and Gibraltar (20 minutes), La Duquesa seems like a thousand miles away from the throng of the holiday resorts and offers an unparalleled quality of life in Southern Spain. There are plenty of excellent quality bars and restaurants in Duquesa port and the surrounding area. Puerto Banus and Marbella are only a 30 minute drive away. Within easy reach is the picturesque town of Casares and also a scenic train ride away is Ronda, an authentic Spanish village high in the mountains. Other places to visit include duty free shopping in Gibraltar and the lovely town of Benahavis.

Notes: This is a new luxury, ground floor, air conditioned apartment overlooking a large communal pool. It has been furnished to the highest standard and tastefully decorated throughout. It has every facility you will need to make your stay on the Costa del Sol memorable for all the right reasons. The apartment is just 5 mins drive from Duquesa Port where you'll find bars and restaurants in abundance and 30 mins drive from the delights of Puerto Banus where you can wonder at the cars and boats of the rich and famous. Behind the port lies an 18 hole golf course (Duquesa Golf), designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., with fabulous views of the Mediterranean. There are more than 40 golf courses on this coast including Valderrama (15 min drive), the venue of the 1997 Ryder Cup, San Roque and Sotogrande (15 min drive).

I have stayed at Tracy's apartment 2 years running now. It is superbly placed close to the communal pool to keep an eye on the kids. The apartment is wonderfully decorated & supplied with everything required for a holiday. It actually feels like someones home and not a rented property. The car park below ensures secure parking and the neighbours are close knit & friendly. Outside of the complex is still being develoved and a car is advisible as there are plenty of interesting places closeby.

It has been so great staying at your wonderful apartment, AGAIN! Thanks also for your wonderful attention to detail, the keys did arrive well in time along with your really comprehensive instruction and 'helpful hints' book - thank you!

New Year was our 4th visit and I can't wait to come again! The apartment is amazing and beautifully quiet and serene, nestled near the hills, but the most attractive thing is that everything is just so close and every time we come, we discover somewhere new locally, either in Duquesa or Sabanillas, or further afield at Laguna Village which we visit each time we come.

I must also say that the apartment is beautiful with a very high spec but on top of that the development is so clean and immaculately kept! A bit of builders rubble on the entrance as you would expect in flourishing Spain but after that you are in your own little haven - quiet, clean and very relaxing!

Places to sample definitely must include (all Duquesa):
Restaurants - La Traviata, Maques and Reds
Bars - Bar Duquesa, C Bar, The Jolly Sailor and Pantalan 56 Cocktail Bar

Gibraltar - only 15 mins drive so a must on your visit but... DON'T FORGET YOUR PASSPORT as we did! Although it's English you need it. Parking is a nightmare on the island so consider parking this side and walking across (the runway!) But it's very funny to be seeing all prices, and getting change in, English Sterling to a genuine must.

For GOLFERS... so much choice around the apartment, Sotogrande is on the way to Gibraltar as is San Roque and Duquesa Golf is also to be recommended - spoilt for choice really!

Our next visit will include Seville which is only 2 hours away!

Thanks so much for lending us your apartment again - we have already booked our 5th visit with you for this summer!

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your apartment. We had the most wonderful time and enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of the location. Apart from a few day trips out, we found it really difficult to drag ourselves away from the pool. The apartment was great and we would love to return again, if you'll have us.
Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed your holiday. We are booking for 2010 now so if you want to reserve any weeks next year let us know. It is really warm over there out of season too so if you fancy a long weekend or a week then the apartment is also available.
