The mediaeval village of Montelifré, 1.5 km from Montisi and 3 from Trequanda, is situated in a panoramic position in the vicinity of the Sienese Crete, dominated by the ruins of the castle. The same family owns it since 1348 and the structure has been attacked twice in the 16th century by the Republic of Siena. The property which we have on offer is a portion of the main body of the castle where renovation has brought to light certain ancient decorations: in the large dining-room, in the small lounge, in the corridor leading to the bedrooms and also in the bedrooms themselves, some of which also boast fine vaulted ceilings. The property has a terraced garden, with an area specially equipped for dining in the open air where the blow-up prefabricated 3,5x2m (26/5-29/9) private swimming-pool is situated. The house is furnished with rustic pieces interspersed with seventeenth and eighteenth- and seventeenth century antiques. No heating in the house.
