With a small sea view, in the much sought after area of Playa Flamenca wonderful beach and golf holidays are possible from this location. 5K from Torrevieja and 5 excellent golf courses nearby. A range of good restaurants and bars 250metres . Along with supermarkets, shops, bank, gym, hair dresser, English Newspapers, local car hire etc. Easy access from Alicante or Murcia/San Javier airports. This villa is on a smart residential development with many full time residents. Giving it a very welcoming feel from the neighbours who are always ready to give help or advice about where to go or what to do. The communal pool is only around the corner. There are other lovely pools nearby that have good restaurants attached offering Spanish Tapas. Although a car is recommended it is possible to have a nice relaxing break without. Transport from Alicante and San Javier airports can be arranged.

Notes: Smokers are not discouraged but we ask you not to smoke in the house . For the elderly or infirm the area around the villa is mainly on the flat. There are 3 steps up to the entrance. There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom/toilet on the ground floor. There are numerous restaurants/bars within a short walk. Taxis are available or you can drive to the door. This property offers quality family accommodation in a residential area free from annoying discos commonly found in large resorts. It is NOT Benidorm town centre and anyone desiring a noisy holiday resort such as Benidorm should look elsewhere. Many visitors have visited our villa and not had use of a car and have enjoyed themselves immensely. However if you are the active type we recommend a car to discover the area. A wide range of DVD films and TV programmes available many for children. As well as childs cot there is childs buggy with sun hood and storage in excellent condition so save on your luggage going out.

Beaches & Pools & Market: Our villa is only 1200 metres from the beautiful European Union Blue Flag Award Beaches of Playa Flamenca, Cabo Roig and La Zenia . A 30 min walk along the coastal path takes you to the small beach of Gaviotta . Excellent for combining a scenic walk with the chance of a swim or Tapas lunch at the beach bar. On saturdays 8a.m. to 3 p.m. there is a street market on the main road only 150 metres from the villa. Excellent for fruit/groceries, herbs, clothes, shoes, handbags and lots more, a must do visit during your stay. Our agent lives just across the lane and will assist you with any problems during your stay. Besides the communal pool there are a number of club pools nearby with great restaurants and bars attached. There is a Health Club/Gymnasium near the supermarket. Champagne, chocolate and flower welcome possible for guests celebrating something special ask on booking. We have invested in this villa everything we feel is required to make it perfect for your well earned break.

Golf Courses & Things to do.: Within a 15 min drive are the excellent courses of Villa Martin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor. Several other courses are available within 1 hour's drive. Villa Martin Golf complex also has a very large pool with attached restaurant/bar. Surrounded by palms where wild parrots sweep from tree to tree. Also the main Mall has a wide range of bars and restaurants. Including: Bogeys (Great rack of lamb in honey/mint sauce), plus many more e.g. Indian, Chinese, Mexican cuisine. A short distance away Go-Karting is available. There is a diving school in Torrevieja. Only 50 mins away on the motorway is the exciting theme park of Terra Mitica (Land of Myths) well worth a day out and perhaps dinner in Benidorm in the evening.

Dining In or Out & Local Amenities: Within 3 min walk of the villa are the Developments of VIA PARK & VIA PARK II. Already offering 4xChinese, Indian/Nepalese, 2 x Italian and European style restaurants with more coming on line in the future. Also a range of interesting bars, including three Irish theme pubs very close by. They offer live entertainment, , quizzes etc most evenings. A short walk or taxi takes you to many more atFlamenca beach La Zenia, Villa Martin or Punta Prima (great Indian). As an alternative if on a family budget or if partied out(a common occurrence) buy some of the exquisite meat, fish, seafood, fruits, salads and vegetables locally and have a meal with some of the local wine on the Sun Terrace/Dining area. Small table cooker available. There is an excellent collection of Summer style cookbooks and the kitchen has all necessary equipment. If you like sea food you must go to the Supermarket, thumb size prawns at a fraction of UK prices. Give it a try.

Other Activities: Go Karting Many wonderful restaurants and bars. Large Theme Park of Terra Mitica 60mins away Visit The Historic Towns of Elche & Cartegena 1Hr away.

Villa Olympia.

Visited Villa Olympia 24/03/09 for one week.
Really enjoyed the experience,very friendly people in the street, always willing to help. Weather was wonderful and we loved sitting on the top terrace late afternoon with a glass of wine in hand. Loved the downstairs terrace for breakfast and lunch.
A few nice beaches in the area and also market on a Saturday which is well worth a visit.
Good supermarket close by with excellent range of wines etc. plenty of restaurants in the vicinity and also a few bars.
The historic town of Cartagena is well worth a visit ( 1 hr by car) but don't forget to take money as we forgot ours!! Silly us!!
Villa really cosy and welcoming.
Thank you once again Phil and Cynthia for a wonderful holiday. Hope to go back one day.

Air conditioned holiday villa near restaurants

We have stayed at this villa on 4 occasions now; it has air conditioning and a communal pool, we always find that everyone is very friendly and sociable in the area.
We like to sit on the veranda with a bottle of wine in the evenings and snack on a selection of tapas.
There are also plenty of restaurants and bars nearby which include 4 Chinese, 2 Italian and Indian, we have also found a traditional Spanish restaurant, but it’s about 1 1/2 miles away and you would have to use a Taxi or take your car.
There is a market every Saturday where you can pick up some souvenirs or provisions and the local supermarket is about ½ a mile away if needed.
You receive a welcome pack when you arrive with the basics such as water, milk, eggs, bacon, and bread and butter so that you do not have to go straight out and shop when you arrive.
The owner of this villa is very helpful and has advised us of many places to visit.
We now hire a car at Alicante airport because it is so convenient and go sight seeing.
We regularly visit Fortuna hot baths and highly recommend it; we do hope that you enjoy your stay at this villa as much as we do.
Needless to say we have booked this villa again this year.

Stayed at villa olympia in February 2009. We found the villa to be very clean on arrival and everything well-maintained. The agent who lives over the road is very friendly and helpfull. Excellent Value Family Accommodation

On our arrival we were met by the local key holders who were welcoming and friendly. The villa was exactly as descibed in the write up, the photgraphs do not do this villa justice, it was all and more than we expected. Phil the owner was friendly, helpful and efficient. With a good range of restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance it made the holiday easy. The traffic free avenue was safe for the children and the pool is just a couple of yards away. We will certainly book this villa again.
