It is the ideal location for family and group of friends for a special holiday or celebration.5.5miles from Junction38 on the M6 in tranquil surroundings

The areas bounded by the yorkshire Dales,the Pennines and the mountains of the Lake District,and possesses a wealth of interesting locations and offers a wide choice of activities

The area has every kind of outdoor pursuit from fell walking,ponny trecking,cycling,golf and fishing.

Ashley cottage sleeps 12 ; 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

1 double bedroom ensuite bathroom

2 twin bedrooms with shared bathroom

2 family bedrooms ensuite bathrooms (3 single beds in each bedroom)

Beechtree cottage sleeps two ,1 double bedroom ensuite bathroom plus there is a double bed settee in the lounge.

  • For more information, please contact the owners.

    Deposit. A deposit of 25% is required. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to the start of the holiday.
    We also require a surety deposit of £100 refundable if there is no damage to contents or property
    Bookings made within 8 weeks prior to your arrival require immediate and full payment of the holiday cost.
    Arrival & Departure. The cottage will be ready anytime after 3pm on the day of arrival. For short breaks an earlier time might be possible.
    Guests are required to vacate the property by 11am and the cottage is ready for letting after 3pm.


    Rental rates include electricity, central heating and bed linen, hand towels in bathrooms. We do not provide bath towels.

    Due to the close proximity of sheep farms in the area we are unable to accommodate pets.
    The cottage is deffinately non smokingbut there are seats and ash bins outside under cover on the patio.

Notes: Ashley Cottage is fully furnished and equipped to a high standard with great emphasis on comfort and warmth. The kitchen is very well equipped ;6 burner gas cooker and large oven,dishwasher,microwave oven ,fridge/freezer,plenty of large pots and pans ;crocker and cutlery to cater for large groups. The dinning room table seats 14/16 we provide table cloths for use on special occasions The sitting room is large ;a cast iron gas stove; Sky TV,DVD,Video and music centre. we also provide wireless connection and we have a large selection of books and magazines. and videos.. The cottage is warm and cosy,full gas central heating through out the building. Ashley Cottage is spacious and sleeps 12 persons and adjoins 3/4 of an acre of lawn and orchard - an ideal play area for children and adults .

The accommodation comprises of the following:

There are a total of five bedrooms and four bathrooms. One double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, two twin bedrooms with shared bathroom and two family twin bedrooms with an extra bed in each room, and ensuite bathrooms.

The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a 6 burner gas cooker and oven, fridge freezer , microwave oven and dishwasher and lots of large pots and pans.

There is a seperate laundry room., washing machine and dryer also space for drying boots and coats .

The large dining room seats 14 comfortably,its great for all the family or friends to enjoy a meal together.

The lovely sitting room has a cast iron gas burning stove, music centre, Sky ,T.V, DVD and video player.

3/4 acre of lawn and garden with a furnished barbecue and a covered patio .

great for children and adults too enjoy outdoor games or just relax and enjoy a glass of wine .

Parking space for upto7 cars.

Cot and Highchair available. Full Gas central heating throughout.

Kids loved the house and the outdoors and didnt want to leave.the adults didnt have a bad time either.

perfect place for my sons wedding

My son found your fantastic cottage on the internet and it was pefrect for an informal venue to hold a small wedding party with a hog roast in your masive garden. It is a well laid out cottage with nice spacious rooms and Nazig couldn't have been more helpful. If you are looking for a nice friendly place for a large group or family get together then this is hard to beat.. Quite rural but only a mile and a half to the Black Swan and Fat Lamb (we had guests use both of these) Also not far into Kirkby Stephen. Lots of choice around if you want to eat out or go for a drink.We had our hairdresser arive on the day of the wedding who said she will be lokking to use it for her family. There are even garden games and a lovely play swing ,slide that my granddaugher loved.
We will use this again for large family get togethers
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Ashley Bank was a fantastic gateaway with breathtaking views. The holiday home catered for all our family needs and a perfect place for the family to get together for the week. We enjoyed some lovely walks around and enjoyed our trip into Kendal. Both Iain and Nazig were very welcoming and friendly. Ashley Bank cottage will definately become our family gataway holiday home in the future.

A peaceful trip

We had a lovely reunion weekend, and the house was equipped with everything we needed to cater for a bunch of hungry girls with a couple of babies. The reception was welcoming, there was plenty to keep us entertained in the area (chocolate factory a hit), and we all found our way easily, even in the dark after long journeys.
All in all, a hit.

Great Place

I have been going to this place for the last 12 years with my cycling club (which have been going for apparently over 20 years) and have to say it is a fantastic place. The accommodation is clean, tidy, comfy and the location is superb....very quiet and tranquil. Last but not least, the hosts Iain and Nazig is just so good. Nothing is a problem for them and they are very welcoming.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
