Great vacation memories are made at "Duck by the Sea"! Perched high on Carolina Dunes, you'll enjoy spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Currituck Sound to the west. The cottage is situated at one of the highest elevations in Duck and offers water views from nearly every window! It's the perfect location for enjoying all the Duck area has to offer. If sun and surf are what you crave, a short 3 minute walk leads you to the beach. You'll also have quick access to the Duck Trail, a paved path where you can walk, jog, bike or skate you way to the village of Duck (just a mile to the South) with it's many shops and restaurants. For a water adventure, sailing, windsurfing and parasailing are all nearby. "Duck by the Sea" is ideal for accomodating your extended family or friends. All five bedrooms open to private decks, providing everyone with a place to retreat and enjoy the salt air and water views. You'll gather for seafood feasts and board game tournaments in the upper-level great room, with its cathedral ceilings and incredible panoramic view of the sound. There's also a glassed in sunroom, the perfect spot for curling up with a good book. Enjoy the video and paperback libraries, or try your hand at a puzzle. You'll even find children's videos and books. Wrapping around three sides of the house, the upper-level deck is the place to enjoy the magnificient view with your morning coffee, sunbathe on a lounge chair or enjoy a glass of wine while experiencing a stunning Outer Banks sunset.
