Ventnor is famous for its warm microclimate. The part sand, part shingle beach is great for sunbathing and swimming. The Cascade leads up to the town, which is built on a series of zigzag terraces and steeped in history. There are friendly souvenir shops as well as delicatessens and convenience stores. Enjoy some peace and quiet in the tranquil Botanic Gardens, a 22-acre sub-tropical paradise. Heading west is one of the Island's hidden gems, Steephill Cove. All around Ventnor you'll find beautiful walks with dramatic viewpoints.
