The Casita Violeta comprises a large bedroom with double and single bed, bathroom with shower and a living room complete with kitchenette. It is comfortably furnished and has cable TV. The local village has a small supermarket and a wonderful pastry shop. A car is handy but not essential.

Also available is Casita Rosa if you wish to have friends close by but not sharing your bathroom!

Golf:

There are many excellent golf courses in our area. Eva & Hilario are members of Estoril Golf Club and can lend you a set of clubs if you don't want to bring your own!

An amazing holiday!

Had the most amazing month's holiday here in sunny Murches! The people, the food and weather made this one of our best ever holidays! Cascais is a beautiful town - with lots to do and see - will be recommending it to friends and family back home.
Thank you so much for making us feel welcome from the minute you picked us up at the airport. You have been wonderful hosts!

Fabulous Four Days in Murches

Our family had a fantastic four days at Casa Violeta. Eva and Hilario, Bonnie and the whole family gave us a marvellous welcome and were really kind and helpful throughout our stay. Our three year old, in particular, loved spending time with Bonnie the dog and helping Hilario to water the plants every evening.

The casita was really comfortable and the pool was stunning. We really loved the village as well, and visited a couple of the local bars. There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area - we visited Cascais, Sintra, Colares and some of the fabulous beaches.

I couldn't recommend the property or our hosts more warmly. We would be very happy to come here again. Thanks to all the Sanchez family for making this a very special time.

Another super out of season holiday

Our philosophy is not to return to holiday destinations but we cannot help ourselves to keep returning here. We have still not fully explored the beautiful area as we often end up just relaxing 'at home' or just going for a walk locally or along the promenade in Cascais. Our hosts are there if needed but keep themselves in the background if not. Everything that is offered is there plus much more and if there is anything you need Eva is always happy to help. The area is surrounded by wonderful scenery, beaches and cultural delights to keep anybody entertained. Lisbon is a short train ride away which in itself is a delight as it travels along the coast and who could fail to fall under the spell of Sintra.
We can recommend 'Shangri-la' to anyone at any time of the year.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: We aim to please! We like our guests to feel at home and really enjoy helping them to make their holiday just a little bit special. We must be doing something right as lots of people come back year after year. Cascais really is Europe's best-kept secret but sshhhh......don't tell everyone!!

My vacation

Our group of 6 people rented both casitas (Rosa and Violeta) for two weeks in August 2010. It was a great pleasure to spend this time with Eva, Hilario and of course Bonnie. I read all these good reviews about casitas before my arrival but i couldn't expect that it would be like home. Thank you! Thank you!
