This stone built cottage, 500 years old is located in the grounds of the 100 acre estate of Talhenbont, overlooking the woodlands and the river. Set on the ground floor with some internal steps, and is situated in the water garden overlooking variegated conifers and shrubs. The immaculate cottage is private and has been thoughtfully renovated to the highest standards to provide one of the finest self catering retreats in Wales. There are 2 bedrooms: 1 x double with en-suite facilities including a corner bath, 1 x 2 or 3 singles. Shower room with shower, WC and handbasin. Very well equipped fitted kitchen. The 100 acre estate of Talhenbont is set in an idyllic position in the stunning unspoilt countryside of the Lleyn Peninsula. Five minutes' drive away there are lots of attractions: including, castles, beaches, golf courses and the Snowdonia National Park. The nearby restaurants and inns provide a wide range of succulent dishes. Apart from the superb accommodation, the Talhenbont Estate has a lot more to offer to visitors. There are woodland walks along a 1.5 mile stretch of river that runs over a series of waterfalls in a ravine, with areas for children to play or paddle. The river is habitated by otters and offers salmon and sea trout fishing. Guests have the use of an all weather tennis court and outdoor chess for adults. There are also lots of pet animals which enjoy being petted and fed. A paradise for children is the adventure playground, 'Fort Good'.
